Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
I had a WONDERFUL surprise last night when I arrived at my mother's for the long TG weekend, my sailor was there!!! He flew in during the day and my sister picked him up at the airport. Still not sure if he will be with us for Christmas, but at least I have my 3 kids together today!

Hello, my son is a Machinist's Mate on the USS Nimitz since Oct. My son didn't have a TV while he was at Goose Creek. He did have a computer and watched some shows on that.

Hi Katie,
I cant remember if my son had a tv at GC. I know he had his cell and laptop. Cant say for sure that he had a tv till he was off base in NY.

Just wanted to post a brag!!!
Just got a call from my son (and I will probably get this all wrong) but long story short he made PO 2nd class (E5) from his advancement test!!!!
I am like a proud peacock!!! LOL

Hi everyone, my son Josh will be a MMS. He is in Groton finishing his school. He has received his orders and will be on the USS Tennessee, SSBN 734, which in in dry dock now so he will be in Norfolk on loan to a fast attack sub for a year.

Hi all! Katie and Steve's mom - make sure you join NUKE MOMS if your guys are at/going to GC. My son son is in Prototype/ELT in NY waiting for boards and will be stationed in Groton CT on the USS San Juan 751. A school seems forever ago and I dont remember all the liberties but there are a lot of knowledgeable moms over there. Also check out the NNPTC under the video section, it gives you a little insight on the facilty.
