Can anyone tell me if our Sailors are able to have laptops with them on the ships or even if they would be able to have an internet connection?

Any MM Moms with sailors starting Protoype next week (Oct. 13th) in Goose Creek?
Everdina Comment by Everdina on September 28, 2009 at 8:55pm
My son just graduated power school in Goose Creek on Friday and after 2 weeks of Liberty is is due to report in Ballston Spa NY on 10-9 for Prototype school..
What a great weekend we had with him, he rented us the apartments on base which by the way are roomy and very clean.He got an award for being a hard charger and I was so happy and for him, he was the only one who got that award, it made my cry from happines and pride.It was a very hot day but well worth the wait to see it all happen. They all looked so good in their dress whites.
I will post pictures on my page ASAP.

Kris - You may want to join the Nuke Moms site, there you can get all the answers you need about your son in Nuke school.Once he gets to GC he will be in indoc until all the paper work is done. He could be there a while or start school the following week. He should be able to call you and tell you when his A school starts and his address would be;

FN (Last Name,, Middle Int, FirstName)
NFAS Indoctrination Division
Naval Nuclear Power Training Command
101 NNPTC Circle
Goose Creek, SC 29445

I hope this helps and congratulations on your Nuke.

Hi everyone...Dawn it must be hard having your daughter so far away...I will keep you both in my prayers. All the same she must be sooo excited, traveling like that. My son wants to see the world, they deserve to have those benefits as long as they are serving our country. Just think of all the wonderful experiences they will all have. Keep us updated...please.

My daughter Heather made it safely to Japan!!!!Due to the long flight/layovers she got 'numb butt'!! It has been an emotional rollarcoaster!!I cried for 4 days before she left! She's my baby daughter afterall.I got to 'talk' to her last night on facebook-that was cool.She said Yokosuka is absolutely beautiful and clean. She is on the GW. Keep all our sailors in our prayers and may they all remain safe!!

Ginny, my son starts in october too. he's down there doing cleaning? until the schooling starts. He seems to like it. Has made a few friends. he says everyone is really nice there. He is enjoying all the liberty he gets right now. Someone from michigan who is going to school there too was going to grab his stuff. but we assume he forgot because he never called me. ah well. that's life..LOL

Good Morning all you Navy Moms!! As I read through all the comments I realize we all have sooo much in common. We are all trying to keep track of our kids, just as we all have forever. If you could measure the amount of worry we all carry around with us I am sure it would stun us all. I think we should all take three large and deep breaths and just relax our whole bodies even if its just for a few seconds. Hugs to all.
