Tina, my son is an MM in Goose Creek and will start Power School the beginning of October. I send things to him via USPS Priority mail. Just use a flat rate box (free at the post office) and it is the same price no matter how heavy. He usually gets it in a couple of days. How is your son doing?

thanks carrie. today i have to find a box to mail some things to my son. I've never mailed anything in a box before. so this should be fun

Dawna was this one of her choices that she put in for, if so the only advice I can give is just remember that she is where she wants to be doing what she wants to do. Try to take joy in that. I am a new Navy mom my self, but that is how I have endured the last year. When every I start missing my son I just remember the excitment I hear in his voice when we talk on the phone. He is graduating Power school the end of this month and we are going to SC to visit him. and spend some time. Then on the 13 of October he will class up for Prototype School which his last phase of schooling before he can enter the fleet. He is a Nuke MM. He told me during on last phone call that when it was time to list his choices of where he wants to be stationed Japan was at the top of his list. So I may be in your boat in 6 months or so. Hang in there time flies.
