Apologies - Navy Moms fro not making it to the event on the 24th. Situation came up and couldn't make it - though would love to be able to attend another when you get together. Congrats to all who have PIR - it is an exciting event.

Hi everyone, congratulations to everone who is soon to have their son or daughter switch their hat from "recruit" to "Navy" at PIR! What fun--take lots of pictures. I'm sooo bummed that I missed the get-together. I was looking forward to that almost a year ago and desperately searching for other Maryland moms over a year and a half ago. I will do my best to make the next one. Has anyone else ever greeted the troops coming home through BWI airport? That might be something nice we could do as a group.

Hi Sally!! Many congratulations proud Mom!!! I know you must be chopping at the bit for her to get home to you. How special...I am so happy for you. FYI I haven't been with Jenni on her birthday since her 19th. Between the Corps of Cadets at VT and obviously now onboard her ship, it could never work out. She always had a "birthday box" and cake there in time...so at least she felt like I was there in spirit. Like yourself we celebrated when I finally got to see her again. So many wonderful things to look forward to for you. yeah, can't wait to see the pictures!!
