My daughter left for boot camp on December 14th, her original ship out date was the 21st. Son will be home on the 19th, isn't that just like the military, so they just missed each other. Having had one child go through boot camp has made her leaving a little easier. With this time of the year, everything is a little bussier, so it really hasn't hit me yet, but with each day the ache in my heart is felt a little more. I know she will do well, its just that there is an absence that is felt.

Hi my son leaves for boot camp on Dec 15th and as I am sure you all know this is extremely difficult but I have seem some boys that are friends with my son and they seem to be doing great and survived boot camp and they are doing well. That is helping me alot to see they are ok.

Hi Carol, welcome to our group. Glad to have you. You can have the Florida weather, I am ready for cooler temps. Tired of it being so hot. Glad you got to see your son, hope he is well. Hi I'm new to this group. I'm originally from Maryland as is my son that is a submariner stationed in Hawaii. I was back in Rockville a few weeks ago visiting him & my other son while he was on leave. I miss my home state but enjoy the Fl weather!
