Welcome to our little group, ngore!!
My son has been the Navy 15 years and he recently made Chief Petty Officer.
Yes it is a share place to find others that have walked this meningioma journey. As you can see we don't have many members, but that's a good thing I guess. When you have time please let us know a little about our story. Also check out the Meningioma Mommas website. I found it to be a life saver for me.

Hi Ladies- what a strange site to find others that have a meningioma. Enjoyed my sons PIR on 11-13-09 he's now in S.C. getting ready for nuke school. When you have time I'd like to hear your story. Nancy

hi darsete,
i hope you don't still have seizures, you look really good in your pictures. i am kind of shy about pics now because i'm insecure about my smile. i don't think you are ever the same after brain surgery. some things you can't see, it just how you feel and the way your head feels. i still have an odd feeling in my face, not numbness exactly but wierd, but you can't see it. i feel lucky to have gotten
back what i did. i developed an infection several weeks after surgery because the patch failed. Thankfully i didn't have the extreme things you did!! How are you feeling now??

4 1/2 years later I still have issues. 4 days after surgery I had grand mal seizures and a stroke. I found a wonderful online support group call Meningioma Mommas. Thank goodness for this group...I have learned so much from the group. They have helped me when it comes to standing up for what I need.

hi darsete. my surgeries were nov. 08 and then another in dec. 08. still have some issues, i do have a small amount of facial paralysis but not really noticeable. Nice to talk to someone who has been thru these surgeries, if you haven't been thru one you don't know, you know what i mean?? mine was a neuroma but because it was so large, it pushed against my brain stem too and involved the menengies.

I knew there would be another Meningioma momma here. I had a left frontal lobe meningioma removed in dec. of 04.
