He went in as LS, and he tested to be an AZ? Thank God for google :-)   I've had to use it quite a lot with Navy acronyms and terminology!!

Any LS moms out there??  Mid June is graduation, and my Sailor is pretty excited!!

My son is adjusting well, and he likes his rate.  He did say that he believes they  just dropped  the base in the country, and there they are,   I pray all is going well with your Sailors!

Graduation is getting very close, and I am getting so excited! Funny, I am the mom that kept saying, "NO!"  I want him to live his dreams and soar, so I am being very supportive.  I  know he is concerned about getting to spend  quality time with us, but I told him I will be there at the airport, and if he and his Navy brothers need to sleep, I'll watch over them.... HOOYAH!!

Hi! With my son the Navy dropped him off at Ohare airport around 6:00 am, However his flight didn’t leave until 10:30 so  I was able to eat breakfast and wait with him.. Bring your ID so you can get a pass to sit with him. Military perks

My son will graduate boot camp 4/13 and head to MS.  Does anyone know what time they will leave that morning from the airport? I want to go and see him off. I do hope I have some time with him.  Thank you!

Hello everyone.

Can anyone tell me if I should write my sailor's name in any specific way when I write to her? (I already have the address)

Comment by garden gal on September 4, 2017 at 2:41pm

Yes, but you will need to get the address from him. And keep in mind that it may be a few days after it arrives before he has time to go to the mail room to pick it up. They are often in class during the hours the mail room is open.
