ok that is two of us Stace  we might have to get a snow shoveling party together to find the others.  Hope no one lost power.  We are trying to warm up by watching the beach destination shows on tv.... it's not working

I'm out here!! :) Yep, we're getting the white stuff too, maybe an inch or two....I have had no phone calls in two and a half weeks but I guess her division was being punished for a few people who just weren't "getting it". Heard rumors of possible phone calls on Monday!! I'm so glad you got a few phone calls and his comment about the Navy is pretty funny!!

Is anybody out there?  Wow are we getting hammered with the white stuff this today!

Have had a couple of phone calls from my Sailor... ups and down and now ups again.  that is good.  My head is spinning and i do have a hard time and tell him.... Well you just tell them you want this or that.. he laughs and says mom this is the United States Navy we are talking about.  You do what is needed and roll with the tide... It's all good.  ok ok It's all good as long as you are happy.  It'a all a new adventure right?

I would have to agree with we moms always making a big deal out of the things that our children do. Diego tells me that "it's not a big deal" too, but to me it truly is. He told me that he will graduate "A" school the first week in June and we won't be able to be there then because Korey and Kacy will still be in school. We are hoping to go down later in the month, as it will be six months since they left home. That is a long time for moms not to see their kids.

Thanks, CathieRenee and Dunesmom.  Since we can't be there, I'll be sending him something to celebrate.  Defnitely cookies, but not sure what else.  I'm sure he's counting the days!

I told him I want some pictures to share at our get-together at the end of the month!

Prayers to the family, friends and crew of the USS Halsey.  My heart aches for them all.

Congratulations also Michimom to you Sailor, what a great accomplishment and i'm sure you are very proud.

I'm missing my Sailor deeply today wishing i could be there when he graduates.

Michimom... On white uniforms, the eagle, rating, and chevron will be navy blue (this has led to the eagle being referred to as the "crow" in common practice, and often the entire rating badge is simply referred to as the crow).

Congrats to your son!

Prayers going out to her family and the crew of the USS Hasley, sad day in the world's finest Navy.

You know, I'm happy my son is planning to be on a sub.  Yes, I know there can be dangers anywhere, but a sub is sounding safer than a ship--at least today.

He sent me a picture today of his crows.  (A school grad date in 9 days!)  He got them today, and he seemed excited (well, as much as you can tell in a text).  I'm excited for him--just so cool!  Does anyone know why they are called crows?  He said that's just what they called them a long time ago.

Prayers for this Sailor and her family as well as all the crew on the ship. This is very sad.
