Your welcome, Pat. I can't imagine what the pain level would have been if it weren't for the "pain killers"!!!!

Joanne,
Yes, any type of tea. Altho' I've never made it with green tea or any flavored, or herbal teas. I let mine steep for quite awhile because I like the stronger tea flavor. Also the tea is what gives it it's nice amber color - and the brandy also!!

Good afternoon!!! Just wanted to let everyone know I put the brandy slush recipie in the discussions section.

Hope everyone is having a good day.
Pat,
Any idea when Jenn's appointment is yet? My Jenn is the twin going to college in Ohio!! It's funny because she started calling herself Jenn instead of Jennifer and she choose the spelling with the two n's. Took me awhile to get used to it but now I see several other girls that use that spelling!! You're right - it must have been pretty popular.

Blondie,
You're right - I'd be lost if I didn't keep lists!!! I decided I wasn't going to worry about packing too much stuff because I want it to be light enough for me to carry on my own. I plan on doing laundry at my daughter's apartment and using her soap and shampoo. We always liked the same stuff anyway!!!

Cherylm and Sherry,
I understand what you two new Navy Moms are going through. I am also very close to both my daughters (19 year old twins). When the youngest left for the Navy I thought I was going to have heart failure because it was just so hard for me. She left 2 months after my Mom passed away and I just felt like I was grieving for her as much as I did for my Mom. Even tho' in my mind I KNEW the two situations were no where near the same, some times in my heart they felt the same!!! But I never let my girls know how much I miss them - I am so proud of what both of them are doing and I make sure I'm always supportive of them but in my mind all I want to do is tell them to come back and live with me!!! :) Sherry, I will definately get that brandy slush recipie posted in the discussions section.

Pat,
Sure hope there are answers coming for you and Jenn soon!!! I still keep both of you in my prayers for a complete and speedy recovery. (I know - - that speedy part hasn't really been working out has it!??!)

Marianne,
Sorry your daughter is having supervisor problems. It is a shame that that kind of nonsense happens in the military of all places but it does. Tell her to stay strong and look at it as another test to see if they can break her (like in bc)!! She just has to be stronger and let them know they can't get the best of her!

Blondie,
Yes, I am counting the days - - 6 more to go!!! I told them at work that I couldn't come in tomorrow because I have so much catching up to do. I need to get a ton of laundry done and start setting out what I'm going to take. Hubby and I are leaving for OH on Thursday to visit daughter Jenn; we'll drive straight thru on Sunday and then Monday I have to pack up to leave in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday!! I should be consulting you for all this planning - - sounds like it would be a breeze for you!!! I need to start making multiple lists!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well! Will check in again tomorrow!!

Bethann's Mom, go to your page and then select Photos, the link on the left-hand side of your page. When it comes up, click on the picture you wish to delete. When you scroll down, you will see that one option is to delete the photo. Hope this helps.

Hugs, Cherylm. It's tough but remember MaKayla is beginning to spread her wings. You have done your job and she will prove it to you. Alas, it is not a painless process.

Pat, Why in the world are they doing a bone density test? it is a totally painless test. You just lie on a table while a machine runs up and down your body measuring the density of your bones. Tell Jenn to be sure to get a copy of the the results. Tell her to get the complete copy from the machine and not just the written results. I have all mine and they have come in useful over the years.

If she has not already done so, tell her to purchase a notebook and get some dividers. She really should get a copy of every test that is done. Keep the blood work in one section, things like the spinal tap, etc, in another section, x-rays and the like in another. If she can get copies of her referral letter to USD, it would be good. All these things will make her an informed patient. Also, if records are "lost" she will be able to show them to a doctor. I have done this as well.

In this day an age, you can get copies of ct scans on disk. I advise that as well. She should also start taking notes while talking to the doctor and file them in the notebook as well. Write questions to be asked, ask them and write down the answers.

P'nut & JAM,
Our family is doing well and both sailors are fine. Neither will get home for the holidays. Son is out in NV now and reunited with his wife so he is happy!! However, I am going to visit with my daughter in WA!! I leave next week and will get to spend 7 days with her!!!! It has been a year since she left for WA.

Proudmom,
I also am so sorry your daughter had this happen to her. I agree with KR - is there a way you can privately send us her address and we can send her get well cards, thinking of you cards, and just to let her know we are praying for her. If there is anything else we can do, please let us know.
