Pat does Jenn need someone to drive her to the appointment? I would drive down if it is needed.

You have been busy again! There are bug repellent wipes that have DEET in them. They would not be considered liquid. I know that Molly's group ships them. Now whether or not it is shipped legally, I don't know.

When V. went off to college, I got her a pre-paid cell phone for emergencies. Her Mom and Dad immediately used up the minutes, so she did without until she got a job to pay for one herself. That has been one thing I have refused to pay for! She does now have service with T-Mobile because of the excellent military discount. What I don't understand is why will young people text when deployed rather than sending 3-mail or chatting on Skype?

Blondie, I hope your sailor is much better and able to travel.

Raineegal, Hope Shannon is feeling better sooner. Remember you have to do one thing at a time. If you look at everything that needs to be done, you can get overwhelmed.

Pat, I hope that Jenn's MRI gives some answers! Also, I love living in the country where it is quiet. I think if I could not live in the country, I would live in downtown of a big city. Suburbia doesn't cut it.

Hello Pat,
Believe me I miss all of you also. I get bummed when I get home late and can't get on the computer!! I have to lay down and put ice on my ankle so I can walk the next day!! This shop is a year round costume shop. They rent all kinds of costumes for schools, radio stations, kids parties and all kinds of things. Granted it won't be as busy as these weeks leading up to Halloween so I probably won't work much after the holiday but that's ok. I wanted to make some money for Christmas without worrying about having to work over all the Christmas holiday season. I want to go back to my daughter's apartment in Ohio for a week before Christmas until after New Year's. She will be on break so we're going to have Christmas with her. Unfortunately Steve will only be able to take off 2 or 3 days and then he has to come back to NC for work. My Jenn and I will do some baking and decorating and just hanging out! I wish the other kids could come but it doesn't look like it this year either :(

Good afternoon everyone!!! Got to the computer a little earlier today!! Tomorrow tho' it is back to working long days at the shop. Halloween is how far away?!?!?!?

Joanne,
Glad you are getting your service flag from the Legion!!! I have my 2 blue star up in my window - only problem is this apartment only faces out back to the parking lot so no one really sees it. But that's ok - I see it every day!! I'm a member of the Legion since I served during Vietnam but have not been to a post except during a job fair a few years back. I should look for one here!!

NavyMomXXXY - I have a 2 star pin and decal also - got it online. I need to look for a magnet tho'. Never thought about that!

Hope everyone else has a great day today. I wished both of my sailors a Happy Birthday today!!! They look good for 234 years!!!

Yes, when she starts getting bossy I know she is more normal.
Comment by JM-ISmomx2 on October 12, 2009 at 7:58pm
I know she was feeling better because she told me, after asking 2 or 3 questions, that she had filled out my 2 questionaires and I would have to wait for the mail. The she had to get back to business. I did get a chance to ask if she had made friends and was she still healthy. Yes to both. Just thrilled.

Hey ladies, Puffy's adventures are on again. Actually got 2 calls from my girl today. Still business, but sounded so much better. They got mail late last week so her spirits are up.

Puffy's adventures continue: He went looking for his girl at her last job, workers say they haven't seen her in weeks. Puffy got a kick out of his latte! Woohoo!
