Puffy's adventures continue. Hanging around down at the beach with my Girl's little brother. No sight of her yet. Don't you just love riding those long boards!

Morning Ladies, 80 degree today for the West coast weather, will just have to put up my next Puffy post. Very appropriate(sp).

Oh, Bryce will have a crowd there. I'm going and so are his parents and one brother, a very close friend who has been a mentor to him and at least one cousin. His aunt and uncle on his mom's side may also go and my niece may go. In addition, V.'s father is going to try to go. He'll have a crowd. No one wants to go to Meet & Greet with me so JM and I will have a good time!

We had two sons and one had all girls (five of them) and the other had all boys (four of them). Now these two sons told us emphatically when V. was born that we better enjoy her because she was the only grandchild we would ever get. So enjoy we did. From the time she was two, she traveled with us and spent time with us. She even spent about two months with us in Ireland.

Then along came Bryce almost five years later. Before we knew it we had 8 grandchildren. The last granddaughter was born less than two years ago. So Bryce and V. are cousins, both the oldest in their families.

Pat, the Marines have two boot camps, one at Parris Island and the other in San Diego. The one in SD is adjacent to the airport but they go up to Pendleton twice, once for the marksmanship training and the second time for the Confidence Chamber and the Crucible. They will head out tomorrow.

Oh, Bryce's platoon earned Honor Platoon. He was hoping to earn platoon guide but not to be.

JM, I'll PM you.

I am only about an hour from Pendleton, so should be fun. Looking forward to JM meeting DC, and PAT and KR if she can join us. LOL

I can do a Wednesday meet and greet. Sounds fun. PM me the time and place.

Monday is the "Confidence" Chamber and Tuesday at 2:00 a.m. Pacific time the Crucible starts. Assuming all goes well, i.e., no injuries, Thursday morning, around 9:30-10:00, he will be a Marine... Ooh Rah! I definitely worry about his becoming a Marine but it is something he really wants. He will be an aviation mechanic. My nephew is also an aviation mechanic in the Marines. It looks like he will be career Marines. I suspect Bryce will also do a career as well. So far he has shown no interest in college.

Graduation is November 13. Family Day is November 12. I am flying out Tuesday. Wednesday evening there is a Meet and Greet at the Coyote Cafe. Want to come along. My son and family aren't interested so I am going alone. Friends are welcome.

Well, I could use a cohort any time, us stalker get loney too. Good luck to your grandson. I know he is on the CA coast with me. When does he have the Crucible? When is graduation?

JM, no stalking but somehow the days get by me before I know it! As Christmas approaches, I'll probably be pretty quiet. I've been quiet on all lists except the RecruitParents, a list for recruits in Marine BC. My grandson is at Marine BC and will do the Crucible. It is a 54-hour capstone tests, much like Battle Stations. They will march around 45 miles during it, have only 8 hours of sleep and 2.5 meals. At the end the last hike is up "The Reaper." I organized a Prayer Chain for that.

I have been reading notes so I guess I am a stalker!

Good Morning Ladies, Sunny and 62 this morning on the West coast. A little achey this morning from softball last night. I guess sometimes sliding into 3rd and 47 year old bones don't mix. Just to dumb to quit acting like a kid, and don't plan to. Good thing Hubby comes along to pick up the pieces or make that trip to the hospital if needed. You have all been busy this morning.
We should have a lot of trick or treaters tonight, better get some candy, don't want to get egged.

Joanne glad you and your friend made it home safe.

Blondie - sounds weird but always loved the stuff from giblets in soup.

Pat - Not one to like cleaning, but do when necessary.

Hi DC have you now become the stalker? You have been quiet.
