Hello everyone!!!! Merry Christmas in case I don't get back on.. Picked up Shelton Yesterday ..AHHHH.. It is such a blessing to have him here..We have a very exciting week, since it is his first time back home since BC. I have set up a Surprise Welcome home Party this Wed. night for him in our Home town, so family and lots of friends will be there..Sue boy sounds like Sammie Joe is a girl on a mission...hehehe.. she is all about but atleast you are together. I will be posting pics of later and I can't wait to see all of my n4m family pics tooo..

Alyse...yes SJ will be doing AZ work,she said they've told her she'll have a clip board and pen and make checks as others climb all over the planes and tell her what to check....and girls she has been practicing,last night she put on her coveralls and got out a clip board and had some of her friends call out plane parts and she would so seriously do her big check. Yesterday was a great day,one of her HS class mates,best friends from 3rd grade flew in from San Diego he's been in the Navy for 3 years and she hasn't seen him since he left for Boot Camp,well his Mom called on Sat. night and said he'd be coming home around 8 am Sunday and would be at the 11am service so she got all dressed up and went in late and saw him sitting in the balcony and slipped in an sat next to him and his Mom said she and everyone around them cried seeing his face,they later went to his house for lunch.All of her friends are shocked at the difference in her,soomr good ...some bad...later I'll post the bad(funny WalMart Story) Well I have got to get to the Zoo....♥ you all...Suzie B

Mimi, are you all snowed in? On TV it looks just awful. I have a good friend in Raleigh.
All your baking has put me in the mood to make a couple more things. They have this big cookie edition in our newspaper and the top cookie was called Hot Chocolate Cookie. It sounds real easy so I bought all the ingredients tonight. They said as it melts in your mouth it tasts just like hot chocolate. We will see.
They also had one for root beer cookies. Maybe I'll try that too.

I'm jealous of all of you having your kids home but very happy for you too.
Suzie, will SJ be doing AZ work with the Blue Angels? Please don't think that's a silly question. My son also got trained in something else (PC) after he got to the base and now does mainly AZ but sometimes PC too. What an opportunity for her!!!!

I just got done baking for the night. This week has just flown by. Prob. with all the baking and cleaning after work. I'm so beat and all the snacking while baking isnt helping any either...but oh so good..lol. Were having snow right now. We already had @ the Hotel a lot of walk-ins because auf the weather. I may have to go in and help..I sure hope not but it will be so busy tomorrow. And I have planed to bake a Caramel Walnut Banana Torte for the xmas party at work tomorrow (the party is Sunday) and on sunday I'm baking a german cheesecake for Jesse's Birthday (his fav. cake) tomorrow we have plans on going somewere in KY to some show..lol..I dont know were or what kind of show it is. It's from Kenny's work and it's somewere south of Lexington..he wasnt sure either.
Suzie, when Jesse came home for he first time I didnt get to spend a lot of time with him. All his buddys from highschool were home from college and also from the Navy and Marines so they did some serious catching up. It hurt my feelings sometimes. But I also realized they were his family and he had seen me 3x since he joint the Navy and he ont get to see them again for months at the time were we can see each other at least every couple of months...as of now. He has a little over a year in Norfolk left then we'll see. I learned not to make plans with him but also I wont sit at the house waiting on him. Ok..lol..I stay home until early afternoon then I know after that Jesse usually has plans anyway. We usually spend the morining together until 1-3 then he hangs out with his friends. But he has said himself with time that will change too...his friends will get married have families were they cant or wont to hang out like this anymore then if its ok with me he would just come home and hang out with us..lol..if its ok?..lol..he cracks me up.

Suzy, do I see a summer trip to Whasington in your near future??? You will love it there I promise, it's beautiful and lots to do! PLus, the Bule Angels! What an honor!
We had a nice WARM time in fl. I went down the water slide at our pool. we stayed in the bay lake towers at Contemporary resort. It was beautiful !
Mitch is coming home alone for xmas. I hope I have good news to share soon, but please cross fingers for us.

I can't believe you were in raligh and I wasn't home... that stinks. LOL> Suzy, I have much to tell you, if you get a min. give me a call. I don't want to bother you while SJ is home, but would like to talk before she leaves if you can find time of course.
Looks like, if the pattern hods, I will luck out of the really bad weather. IN fact, we could just get rain. Probably about an inch that melts in a couple hrs. I was looking forward to a good snow storm to play in, but.... the winter is young! LOL.

Paula it's almost time...I am just about worn out from all the running around with Sammie every night this week we have been out to dinner with different groups,one night it was local friends,then Navy Mom's in Greensboro(which she loved) then to Raleigh area for a Sail Club meeting (Dad's group) last night Girls night out with mom's of X- Boyfriends(now that was a hoot) and finally tonight her college friends get home from school and it's Pizza and BEER, my baby drinks BEER...of course the days have been full of beauty shops,nail salons and shopping...I just want to crawl back in bed and read a book I am so exhausted,but I know Dec. 27th is coming and I secretly cry thinking how far she'll be for 3 1/2 years....it's really hard to imagine but she has told everyone she has never for 1 moment regretted becoming a Sailor and is so excited about working with the Blue Angels...well she is dressed and is dragging me to the YMCA to PT this morning....Later AZ Moms...Suzie B

I posted a photo from our Meet and greet on my page,we had such a nice time and it was so good for us all Navy barbie met Cathy whose son is in Washington and fells like she has a buddy already before she gets there and Wanda met Ginger who has a son on the Same Ship in Japan as her son. Tina just fit right in and got lots of answers about PIR and Boot Camp...as we drove back home my Sailor girl said wow it was such a fun evening playing with Navy Moms...off to the Zoo...Suzie B
