WELCOME to Snakemama and to SN (SW)SKI! We are so glad you found us.

SN (SW) I glanced at your page and found that you joined the Navy in 2007 going in undesignated. Thank you so much for joining us.....what an asset and a resource you will be for us!!

Snakemama: You have just joined a group of the most wonderful and supportive moms on the face of the planet! Please read through the past posts, you'll find our sailors are doing well. They've adjusted, made friends and are working toward accomplishing their goals. Some got here by choice and others would have chosen anything but "undesignted"....it makes no difference, we're all basically in the "same boat', so to speak! If you have any questions we'll do our best ot get them answered.....luckily SN (SW) is now onboard to help us out!

Moms: Cory turned 21 last Monday, Got orders on Tuesday to ship out within 24 hours and on Wednesday, left Virginia at 8:00 AM (6 AM Az time). He said he'd be back in Virginia "on the backside of January". I'm still planning to fly out to visit him the end of February. When I got the call Tuesday, that he'd be leaving, he said "Mom, sorry I won't be able to talk to you on Christmas". Had to tell him that phone call was the least of his worries....I had just mailed his Christmas package that morning.....with some of his favorite homemade cookies....that would ROT before the end of January! He said maybe he could scrape the mold off 'em and eat them anyway.....that's my boy!!!

Morning friends! Looks like I have missed out on a WHOLE bunch. Boy, I hate the new page numbering system also! It is yucky! LOL

Sailor Wes is doing well. He got a new job and he likes it. He is working in building 81 (where ever that is-lol) a mechanic job! He is happy because he does not have to paint the ship and mechanics is what he wants to do in the navy. So, he is a happy camper. He will be home New Years Eve. YEAH! until Jan 11th.

Turning 21 is what Wes has been waiting on for a year. LOL He will be 21 in March.

Hope all your Sailors are well. Hope Tucker is doing well and liking Japan. What a beautiful place to be. :o)

Wes is coming home New Years Eve and will be home until Jan. 11th. YEAH! Take Care, God Bless, ttyl!

No news from Tucker ---but I didnt want him to be all freaked about trying to get in touch with me when he got there So I said he had 2 weeks to contact me and let me know he is alright. I figure no news is good news here.

Oh and go look in we ship Love the Crommeling sent US a care package --- LOL Its so darn cute

Cracker: How funny!!! It probably was my singing....I didn't think of that!

Molly: You're on....next year I'll just post his phone number! Have you heard from Tucker since he landed in Japan?

I talked to Cory about 5:00 AZ time....so around 7 PM in VA. He was out with some friends and sounded like he was having a pretty good time. I miss celebrating this big birthday with him....but I really think he's exactly where he'd rather be! And, at 21 I'd have wanted to be with my friends, too. It all works out.
