Cracker: Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving! Glad Tara and crew could make it home.

I had dinner at Brett's (2nd son) house with his family.....it was terrific. Those grandkids (2 boys) are so cute! I worked today....could have taken it off but then decided not to take a vacation day. I have 3 vacation days I have to use before March 1st.....so if I can put aside the money for airfare I'm planning to fly to Virginia for a long weekend.....I even volunteered to work Christmas so I can take 4 days to visit Cory. Not sure what Virginia will be like in the middle of winter....but who cares!!!!

Well Tara her roommate and a Marine friend pulled in at 5am. They are all sleeping right now. My guess is they will get up in time for a turkey dinner breakfast.
They will be here till Sunday.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Got a call from Cory. He and some friends will be eating turkey "Hot Pockets" in front of the TV, watching football. They even picked up a can of sweet potatoes to go along with it. Sounds like a perfect Thanksgiving day to me!!!

Hi Everyone,
We've been busy, busy, busy with hubby's parents sellng their home and moving closer....and soon it will be even closer, since we're planning an addition to the house by June for their independent living space....big changes for all of us, but good ones. I've been checking in and reading from time to time, but very little time to chat. We'll be having everyone here tomorrow. I know of 25 that will be here at noon when it will all be hot and ready. Whoever comes later knows they can zap it in the microwave, so it's basically an all day "grazing time"....

We all have so much to be thankful for.....can't even start to list it all, just have to say...I pray you'll all be blessed with a wonderful time to reflect and share with family and special friends....have a wonderful feast, and be close to those you love...whether it's physically, or just in your heart, like we are...I like to think of our sailor getting a little closer to home everyday, and pretty soon, he'll really be here...22 days and counting. Blessings Friends!!!

Cracker: Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving. I'll be spending the day with Brett (Cory's older brother) and his family. All I have to do is bring dessert....what a change from having 3 boys at home just a few years ago and getting EVERYTHING ready. I'll be a lady of leisure this holiday!!!

Oh! the dreaded empty house......hate that. We've all been there and done that and it never gets any easier.
But so glad you had a great time with Cory. Glad things are going good for him and is happy.

Hi friends: Cory leaves today. His girlfriend will be taking him to the airport as I have to work, I traded a couple of days in order to have Thursday and Friday off. Seems impossible that the week has gone by so fast!! It's been a great visit. He spent a lot of of time with friends...expeciall the GF...but we took yesterday for just the two of us. Went to the movie and saw "Blind Side", it was good, if you get a chance go see it. I'm fixing breakfast for all us soon, girlfriend will be over and then they leave for the airport and I head to work. I'm already dreading coming home to an empty house. He seems happy ... still satisfied with his choice to join the Navy.....life is good!!!
