I saw the Tyler Perry movie too and loved it!!! I need to go back and see which ones Ive missed. Ive only seen a couple of them and enjoyed them all.

Hubby and I went to see the new Tyler Perry movie I Can Do Bad By Myself yesterday afternoon and it was excellent.

watched Pride and Glory on HBO last night. With Ed Norton. Boy, he is sure a good actor. Story; three bro. are policeman, 2 in same squad. Father is ex cop. It is about the family dimension and the problems that can occur, and one of the bro is a bro in law, blood is thicker than water.
One cop is a capt. the bro in law is in his squad and the younger bro. was in Homicide, and switched to missing persons. A murder brings out Dads gut feeling , that he doesn't share, and he nags his youngest son( Norton) into going back to homicide for this one case. Of course, this is where the story really begins and we watch as his world quickly falls apart. Really good IMO.

The Guardian was so hard for our family to watch. We loved it, but Kevin looked just like our oldest brother who died after a work accident. I had to wait to see it for a couple of years. Of course, I cried at the ending.

The Guardian is an excellent movie! I love old musicals more than anything but I do watch some new stuff now and then (I guess I have too since my daughter works at the theater)

I loved the guardian! Plus deadliest catch had a whole episode of the coast guard rescue in Alaska. Also, we watched the National Guard rescue hundreds of people off rooftops in NOLA before anyone else seemed to have a clue. Go Coast Guard!
JIm, if you look up at the disscussion list, their is a topic that covers that question. I use it when I have no idea what to rent! LOL> please, add some of your favs!

My favorite classic movie is Imitation of Life with Sandra Dee.
