I like Andy Griffith and the Beverly Hillbillies. I still watch Andy Griffith, Ernest T, Bass and The Darlings are the best characters.....

I liked the shows so wouldnt have cared if they were gay or not. I quess I might have been more upset with Rock Hudson if I had known years ago just because he was always the lover! Now with Perry Mason there wasnt much romance so it wouldnt have made any difference except I guess we did think he would end up with Della just like Matt Dillion and Kittie.

My grandpa loved Perry Mason, he would come to our house to watch then go home, he lived in another town so he really liked it a lot! He would not have liked to hear about Raymond Burr---just as I hated to hear about Rock Hudson--what a shame.

My Mom was a huge Perry mason fan, and later Ironsides. When she found out he was gay, she wanted to die, ROFL. I was like Ma, it's still the same guy. She got over it. I liked Father Knows best, but now that I'm older, I realize how funny that title actually is.
I loved all the Shirley Temple movies. Knew all the songs and the dances. My daughter loved them all too, and when they came out on video, she got them for her daughter. I had a shirley Temple doll, who else did?
My first favorite movie was Mary Poppins. My poor father took me to see it about 5 times!
I watched Blade Runner for the first time in a long while, it is still as erie as it was when it first came out. and what a good story.

I miss so many of the oldies. Not only the one like Leave it to Beaver, Perry Mason, Andy Griffith, Ozzie and Harriet, FAther Knows Best, Lassie etc but also the movies with Andy Roony, Shirley Temple, and Judy Garland.

ah, Benny Hill was good, but I used to sneak downstairs to watch Monty Python's flying circus, (under penalty of death if caught!!)

Every sunday night we had to stay up and see Monty Python ( was it ?) and the flying circus--it was so funny-- but later there was Benny Hill--remember him?

Are there any Monty Python fans out there? I could tell you a hysterical story about my then 12 year old winning a contest at "Blockbuster Video" one night. We are a PROUD monty python family! LOL
