I was told that "pink Slips" were given for any failed event, written or flight, so they can keep better track of the pass/fail for each student. My LO will be in Pensacola in a few weeks after OCS graduation.......lot of rumors out there...would like to know what is fact and what is rumor. Thanks

My husband is leaving for OCS next week. I know this is early to be thinking about but how soon will they know when and where they are going after OCS. I have heard from everyone it will be Pensacola, FL since he is in avaition. So when will he get orders? I would just like to be prepared for any and everything.

Its not just when they are waiting to class up or being pushed back that they don't have the inclination to communicate. My has been flying for 8 years and I get the same things you ladies are getting now. My only saving grace is I have a daughter in law who keeps me filled in. What I have learn is they live and breath Navy and once they have had to explain thing, that is enough for them. So if I am not the first person that he explains things to, I am out of luck.

Does anyone know how Health Care works for family members when our LO's get to OCS? I know they said they would be covered once they leave for OCS but will they mail us all the information for Health Care Coverage?

Thanks. SnowMC, I see you are from Idaho... not TOO far away from Seattle... Thanks for the help, everyone. I am learning.....

WaSue...hang in there. My son will be one of his Candios...Class 12-10...my son was pretty uptight about it all also, there is so much unknown for them. OCS is a huge life changing experience. You will notice so many positive changes in them over the 12 week experience. Good luck and be sure to connect with the other families in your class. They will provide you with unlimited amounts of support and information.

I know about the tension.... My guys leaves for OCS in a week and he is so tense about EVERYTHING! I don't dare ask about anything!!!! He is normally the one to roll with the punches. I just stay in the background and help when asked. Yet, all I want to do is remind him how proud I am of him - no matter what happens........
