Good Morning Maryellen - I'm in Lake Wales. Steph is also at Norfolk - she was also on the Bush before she became pregnant with Aiden (see pic). I also make pillowcases for wounded soldiers and sailors at VA hospitals. She's up for orders soon.

Well here goes. My Daughter is a ABH on the USS George HW Bush and Loves it. she has been in now for 1 year, and is stationed in Norfolk. Its a big change from South Florida.
Me I'm a empty neester now and do a lot of sewing, I also in a Group called Heads at Ease we make pillowcases for all braches of service. We are a group of Navy moms, its great and keeps me busy. We have made 2009 pillowcases since January. Donna where are you at?

Thanks for the welcome.. yes Janie your right you do apply for the position and you have to be interviewed by the Command staff, they check your Husbands service record, and after they look over everyone that has applied then the Command staff decides who they think is the best choice, then you go through the training.

Hello Lori, It is hard to believe that I was in your shoes over 2 yrs ago. It is so AMAZING to watch our 'little' ones grow up. The other ladies are so right when they say to write, write, write to your son. I wrote to my son, Allen every day and he told me then that he really looked forward to those letters. They are so mature and grown up when we see them at PIR it is awesome! Hang in there, you will make it thru.
