Hi Maryeddy, welcome to the group. Sounds like your son will do great in bootcamp.

Hi, I have been a Nurse for 15 years, My youngest son just left for bc on the 15th. That last call was a booger. I am so proud of him. He is bound and determined to get recruit leader, whatever that is. His last words to me were. Mom, I love you, and we are *****(last name) we only do stuff at 100%. Go all the way or go home. You taught me that. So , dont worry, I will be fine. It's hard to hear him being so grown up, but at least now I know he was really listening to me all of these years. lol

ProudNavy/NYPD ~ I am so sorry to hear of all this stuff that has happened to your family. My prayers go out to you and your family. I'm glad your son is ok and I hope your youngest son is doing ok with losing his job. I'm not sure what you can do and what the law is, but I "googled" that question you asked and got some information you might want to check out.

Hi Nicole, my name is Terri. I am a Charge Nurse on an adolescent unit dealing with behavioral problems. Psych nursing to be exact... :) Not too many nurses go in to this line of work, but I absolutely LOVE it!!! My daughter is almost done with boot camp and I am so proud of her!!!

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I've been on this site, but it isn't because of a lack of interest. It has just been very crazy at my house. Matthew (our sailor) was in a bad car accident about 12 days ago. Ended up w/a moderate concussion & lots of bumps & bruises. Also totaled the car which they just got. It could have been a lot worse so we are thankful it was only the car that was lost. Andrew (our youngest) had a seizure - his first. Never had one before & none since, but we have had to see a number of doctors & he has had CATs, MRIs, and 2 EEGs. No real answers though. He is on meds, but he can't drive for 6 months. Last week he was fired from his job - he drove & made deliveries, which he can't do right now. They said they couldn't afford to keep him? Weird because he wasn't getting many hours, only between 6-8 a week working inside. I didn't think they could fire someone who has a disability? Anyone know if there is a way around this?

Hi Barbara, sorry but we are Nurse's w/ children in the Navy. Have you looked at the ROTC groups or Officer groups? There may be moms in those group w/ daughters that are Navy Nurses or currently in a NROTC program.

Hello Ladies, I was hoping this was a group of moms that had daughters that are nurses in the navy! I am trying to get info from anyone in the nursing NROTC program. My daughter is applying for the scholarship to be a nurse in the navy. I would love to speak with someone in the program or that has a daughter in the program.
