Judy & BillieJo I had to chuckle reading your posts. My fam kept pointing to my son saying he's there, but I couldn't tell. I was able to find him in the Division pic though.
BillieJo have you heard from you sailor yet? Mine hasn't called and I'm about to scream lol

BIllie Jo-Don't feel bad. At PIR I asked a Sailor if he knew where my son was going to be(he was in the performing division)and it turns out he knew exactly where my son was..... I was talking to my own kid and didn't even know it. Talk about never living something down!!!! I was reliving that phone call and PIR while reading your post. It is something you will never forget. And yes, saying good bye again in VERY hard!!

Kimbokatbo- My son is a MAA and his orders said TX, but he ended up in VA.
I believe most MAA Reservist go there. He enjoyed being there and it was only 6 hours from us so we went down to visit him of Presidents Day weekend last year.
He actually is back in VA now getting ready to be deployed in January.

Congrats BrendanSMom...my turn is next week, the 20th. What is he going to A School for? My son is scheduled to go to San Antonio for MA, but I have heard of several that were changed to VA at the last minute.

Hi everyone! It was a beautiful ceremony and even better to see my sailor (of course) it's funny because we got there and the seats downstairs fill very quickly so we had to sit in the bleachers. Well we or I was bewildered with all these sailors that I thought for sure was my son. My 13 year old forgot the binoculars at home so it took a little weeding out but we found him, it was just funny how they are so uniform and alike from a distance. So, I was a bad passenger on the plane or maybe just a crazy mom but toward the end of the flight I turned my phone on and dont you know the minute we stood up to get our carry-ons the phone rings!! mom I passed. What a hectic conversation with the noise and hustle n bustle but it was my call. We got to spend the weekend and then I bawled like a baby saying goodbye AGAIN. He just called today and is on his way to VA. I will be mailing him his cell and laptop soon. Wwhheeww over one hurdle. long one sorry girls

Linda E,O wow! Yes he is NMCB 25! Yes he was at Ft. Hunter Leggett also!!!.He is at GL now, until the end of this month. Getting shots,taking tests, etc. pre deployment stuff. My son said the entire batallion is going to be spread out all over, GTMO, Nicaragua, some the carribean. Is your son deploying in January? I will ask my son what unit that he is in. I saw my sons pics from Ft. Hunter Leggett.

Dougs mom.......My son is in NCB 25, was at Fort H., and Fort Hunter Liggert last month also. Same kinda stuff.....what is your sons unit??

Amen to that navymom333! What are your daughters Ratings? (jobs in the navy) Does your one already know which ship she'll be assigned to? I assume she'll be going to an "A" school first, as will Kelly, where will those be? We have Groups on N4M for Moms/loved ones with Sailors assigned to almost every ship as well as a Moms of "A" school Sailors Group. Congrats to Kelly! :D

this is kelly , she is in reserves , her sister is graduating on 20th too full time on ship for 4yrs.
