Hello everyone!! Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving...We have traveled all day and we are now here in Chicago and will be celebrating tomorrow with my sailor who is here in A school. He had duty today so we just saw him at the gate and brought food to him.

Wonderful to hear that some of you are able to talk to your sailors...Hopefully many of will be able to see our sailors during this Christmas and hoiday season...but I know that there are a few who won't...we are here for you!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Talked to my sailor in Japan yesterday and he was preparing a big Thanksgiving dinner for his roommate and some friends. I will text my other sailor here in a little bit. He doesn't call, just texts. Hope everyone has a great day.

Patti have fun getting those just off the plane hugs...I can hardly wait till next year when i can finally get my sailor home! We have wonderful news...my daughter passed her State Boards and is officially a licensed cosmetologist!! And got that long awaited phone call from Japan from my sailor!! Ahhhhhh Thanksgiving and soooo much to be Thankful for!!!! God has most defiantly blessed our family this Thanksgiving!

Hello all...
We are off to Omaha from Lincoln to pick up our Sailor Casey,,, He is supposed to get in at 11:45 tonight.... His plane was an hour and a half late in leaving VA, so I hope he made his connection in Newark... He has to leave Sunday, and then we won't see him until he graduates from "C" School the end of Jan.... Hopefully, he will get time to come back to Lincoln, before he reports to Andrews AFB, for his first assignment.. Funny an Air Force Base ;-), where I spent many a day, instead of a Naval Base.... Happy Turkey Day to all!!!! Patti

my last one is graduating 2012 so I can wait on strating her book!! right now Daughter #1 just got doen with cosmetology school in GI at Xenons and right this very moment is taking her State Boards I'm praying she passes ok...I shouldn't worry but I do!! So I really need to get to work on her book and my Navy book needs a lot of updating! Where does all the time go to?! Waiting still for my phone call from Japan I know the ship is docked now,,,wish he would call right away!! Well got a few more hours of work here at the radio station, then lots of pre work in the kitchen tonight for tomorrows meal, then church tonight... I think it will be a short night of sleep! or lack of!
Hope every one has a wonderful Thanksgiving and Hope all your sailors can at least get a call home to you!! Oh Yesterday marked the 3rd anniversary of my sons Bootcamp graduation!! I'll never forget that day!!!

Donna, we lived in GI for 7 years and did some camping in Waco so I know just where you are, or at least where your exit is! :0) You never know, I may sneek out for a day it isn't but an hr and a half drive, and I've driven further for dumber things, right?! I have a son graduating from high school in 2011 and I haven't even started on his book for graduation. Do keep me posted. Lora

Don't feel bad about being slow..lol... I am most of the time too!! I actually am out here by York.. good old Waco! So I'm guessing it is a bit of a drive for you!
It was fun to sit and scrap with gals at the house.. I didn't get much done for my sons Navy Book but worked on cheer leaders gifts! Did fun picture frames with charms. I plan on having scrapbooking day once a month starting in January..I'll keep you posted!
