Well my sailor #1 is down to less than 30 days in Afghanistan, whoo whoo, he will be state side for almost a month before he comes back to Nebraska. CAN NOT wait to see him. My stress level should go down a little bit. He is getting a little bit a flack from us back home, we have all been so worried about him being over their and staying safe, and a copule of days ago he dislocated his shoulder..................Playing sand volleyball. lol I feel bad for him but I can't help but chuckle a bit. Oh the joys of being a Navy mom. Have a great weekend everyone, it should be a beautiful one.

How funnyLora, the frat party sounds that you are hearing are good! Better to hear that than to hear the gloomy voice! My son is one of those ring leaders of fun! Last summers call from Austrailia was a hoot... I could hear all those guys inthe background.. so I loudly announced that this mommy could hear all that was being said..clean up the language at least till my call is over...then I laughed... their response was ok mom!! Hunter was laughing cause I was the first mommy call so it was a good reminder for all of the mommy calls to follow!!
The 24th of this month marks Hunter's 3rd anniversary of his PIR, wow the time really has flown! Well my lunch is over too, so back to sales! I am selling ads for businesses for Veterans Day Salutes, I always end my call with a thanks from a Navy mom!! By now most of my regular clients know I'm a Proud Navy Mom!!

OMG Anyone else nervous about the game Sat.? Last year was ugly but I fear this year may be even worse. Rob is not on hold anymore and has started classes finally. He and his two new room mates called last night and sounded more like they were at a frat party than in the Navy. I am glad that he is not sounding as home sick as before and the guys he is bunking with sound like fun. He is the 'baby' at 18 with the other two young men being 22 and 19. Well lunch break is almost over just wanted to say hey!! Lora

It's been quite a while since I've checked in with all of you here on NE Moms. My daughter's boyfriend is now at Oceana NAS at Virginia Beach. He was home on leave the beginning of October. It was great to see him and spend time with him. Luckily we live just down the street from his parents, so it wasn't difficult for him to go between the two houses, although he did spend most of his time here with us.
So.. extra hour sleep tonight... and what am I doing?? N4M and FaceBook of course! Anyone have special plans for Veterans Day?

I got my call at 3 in the morning from Hong Kong!!! Woooo Hoooo So happy to hear from my sailor!!!!! He sounded great!! Said he was going to do some bargain shopping!!!!!!
