I will not be able to have my sailor home with me this year even though he is only in Nebraska. He has to work that week and weekend. I might be able to see him in early January. Oh well, there is always next year unless he is stationed some where else farther away. Here's hoping all my fellow Navy Moms and Dads a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hey all had a nice long phone call from my sailor last night!! And he said he mailed Christmas presents!!!LOL...that is a major feat!! Said he stood in line for over an hour at the base post office..Thanks Dianne...but hey I hold my breath for next year..who knows where his orders will be then? Hope you all have a wonderful time with your sailors!!

Hi Everyone...for those of you lucky enough to have your sailors home with you, I am so happy for you...ENJOY them and give them a hug for me. For those of us not as lucky...there's always next Christmas, although I'm really sad for Donna that it's been 3 years. I will have my blue candle lit for my sailor and all the others that will be unable to come home this holiday season.
Laurie you gonna have some pineapple with that turkey? lol we don't want him to miss Hawaii too much with all this cold weather here.

We too are having a big turkey dinner on Sunday, I think many families with Sailors that missed Thanksgiving will be making it up. I pray for safe travels for all the sailors traveling today. I also pray for the families that will not be together this holiday season. Their dedication to our country is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

We are very excited and pumped too since our Hawaiian sailor arrives bright and early tomorrow morning. Having a big turkey dinner on Sunday since he missed Thanksgiving with us - yum, yum! We will embrace and enjoy this Christmas with our sailor since next year he should be deployed. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas!

Hello everyone. My countdown is two days. My sailor arrives Saturday night from San Diego. His plane lands at 11:30pm. This is going to be a great Christmas my daughter and her husband will also be here. They arrive on December 24th. I'm so excited to have the whole family here for Christmas. Of course this is a good time for a family picture. I hope all the Navy Moms and their families have a very Merry Christmas.

I haven't been on in soo long. Thought I would check the website to see what was going on. I go to Omaha tonight to pick up my sailor for Christmas. We will have him for 10 days. I am so excited. He passed his 2nd class Petty Officer exam last month and we are all very proud of that. Hopefully he will have some hunting success while he is home.
