Hi All, I've noticed several posts of people searching for others with sons/daughters/spouses power school start date in Oct - so I thought we should start a discussion group and meet up :)

Hi Carol! My son Eric will start Power School on Monday - he is an ET. After being on t-track since the end of July - I think he is ready to get started again! I know Gina's son Adam is in this class and Cindi's son Matt. Did your sailor move this week? When I talked to Eric a couple of days ago, he said he got his moving slip that day. He really enjoyed rooming with Matt, but was excited to have more room in the Petty Officer Suites!

Hi, my son is starting Power School on Monday also. He's an MM and was in the process of moving to the Petty Officer suites when I talked with him last night. I think they are in "in-doc" the rest of this week.

Hi! My son Aaron is an ET - and yes he moved into his room yesterday - he was so excited! He was glad to get his own room. I think he is ready to get school going also.

Hi Carol, Ginny, and Gail,
Glad to hear from all of you. I talked to Jason tonight. He has not had cell phone service for the past three days. He had to go out to the parking lot to call me tonight. He also moved to the Petty Officer's quarters and is glad to have a private room for a while. We are planning to go to the power school graduation in March. I have just started a part-time job babysitting a newborn boy. I will have to save my money up for that trip. We are going up next weekend to see him. Jared (our Marine son) plans to meet us there, as he is stationed in nearby Beaufort, SC.
Hang on tight girls......I hear this power school is like a wild roller coaster ride! My thoughts will be with you and your sons throughout.

I think that Eric said that Power School graduation would be on the 19th of March - I haven't looked at a calendar, but it is that week - whatever the Friday is. My youngest son and I are going to GC for Thanksgiving - we are staying in a condo on Hilton Head. I really want to be there for Power School graduation - I couldn't go for A School. I think we should see if we could all stay in the villas and then celebrate together!

My son Erick starts on the 12th? He's an ET and he moved into a room (has a roommate) on Thursday!

Is your son in A school or Power School? I thought all of the Petty Officers in Power School would have private rooms.
