Krista - you just reminded me - when I asked James @ his test from Monday he said he was still waiting to hear - "but i put in for more points because i thought they graded to harsh on a few things so i put in for a regrade on those questions".

He got a 3.42 on yesterday's test. <<GRIN>>

Another good memory from A School graduation on Oct 16. We happened to be staying at a hotel the was having a 35th reunion of navy ship(forget the name of the ship). When my son walked into the lobby in his uniform they all came over to shake his hand and congratulate him. I don't think they knew what a nuke was all about! lol. They all gave him advice and told them to make the most of his experenice in the Navy. Laurie in WA Mt son tells me his address is the same except put T track instead of 0933t

Hoping to hear from my son today. I know they had a test yesterday and I am hoping he did well again. We keep telling him to hang in there he is doing great, but somedays he sounds so tired and down. I am so excited to see him graduate power school January 22 2010

Kate that was similar to my experience, except that security knew why we were there and where to send us... but I did read a while back about that happening before. It took the Sailors quite a while to find us on the list - almost seemed like they hadn't worked the checkin desk before.

Have not been able to get on this site since I got back from A School graduation on Oct 16. I have alot of catching up to do.Lori(OH) and Lea before you go to graduation make sure of these things 1 You son get you a tag for your car and 2 Make sure he gets your name on the visitors list And make sure The spelling of your name is correct!! We had problems with these things. When we arrived at the gate the guards knew nothing about a graduation! The security is hired, not Navy. I think I read this on this site a while ago. Not knowing about a graduation!! Don't they have one every week? Finally they got a list of visitors about 45 minutes before the graduation! Finally when we got in my mother in laws name was spelled Davis instead of Doris.(Thanks to my sons sloppy handwriting). The person signing us in was not going to let her in but thankfully another person let her in. Graduation is about 45 mintues long and informal but very impressive! Good luck and Enjoy!

Thanks for asking Laurie. Adam is missing a front tooth and has a artificial tooth on a retainer. Somehow they let him go all through bootcamp with it, and on Tuesday the Navy decided that it was time to start the implant procedure. He woke up and was told, "get on the bus", and he was taken to the oral surgeon, where they implanted the spoke in his jaw (he said that he really had no idea this was going to happen, which was probably a good thing...lol). So, my son looks like a Pirate/Sailor for halloween with a peg tooth! It will be a few weeks, and then his new tooth will be put in place. He is very sore, but, on the mend. Have a great day all. :)

Mrs. Andy, it's been 20 some years since my husband was stationed in Ballston Spa, but he found a small house near Saratoga Springs that he rented with a shipmate. Look around for mobile homes too. We lived in one when I was finally able to join him. Good luck, hope they find something.
