For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

She made them from scratch. She's from New England and said they are popular in that area. Every now and again I drive 20 minutes, over the line into PA, just to get one that's Amish made. :-)

Question What's the difference between the Subs? I've heard some referred to as Boomers.

What a strange feeling that you can not just get in a car or on a plane and go visit them. My sailor son is somewhere on the ocean on the Eisenhower. We have had emails tho so I am thankful for that.

weather = snow is predicted to start tonight, from northwest MN to southeast MN so should be traveling right accross us till Tuesday.

Desserts = A good Butter Pecan Icream anywhere home or away.

Comment by ktrsb CVN-75 on March 3, 2013 at 9:48am: Hey, all. Seems like forever ago when my sailor was in Division 107, and yet here we are, almost a year after PIR. I wish I could say he was one of the ones for whom Power School was a breeze, but we've been on pins and needles for weeks. Now it looks like it actually will happen. So his brother and I are set for a quick trip to CHS and a turnaround as soon as possible - our Nuke wants to get home as quick and for as long as he can. Thankful that our home is still home for him. So, I will see the rest of you all that are blessed to make it, God willing.

It has been a long time since we have seen the sun. It will also be a lot warmer down south. I am really looking forward to seeing my son. I am praying real hard that everyone passes comps on Tuesday. It has been a long trip to this point.
