Hi Ladies,
I'm glad there is so much interest in a get together. My son is home right now for about a week. His ship is deploying soon and he brought his truck home so we will be driving him back to Norfolk. As soon as we get back I will call some places to see if we can get a separate room or something. I'm thinking of some time at the end of the month or the first part of March on a Saturday afternoon, if that is good for everyone. I will need a little cheering up by then and you Navy Moms are the only ones who really understand.

We've had quite a year already (at my house). My kids lost their dad (he & I were divorced) on the 10th of January. My youngest had only been back at A school for 6 days when we had to get him home again. He was home for another 10 days. He's supposed to graduate next week. My middle son had to fly back to Denver to resign from his job to drive back and attempt to take over his dad's business and my daughter (who is the oldest) is pregnant and due in April, but the dr says she is already having contractions and beginning to dialate so baby will probably come early! Sorry, didn't mean to unload, but all that to say this...I'D Love to get together with all of you wonderful people! Please keep me posted and if I can't make it this time...I'll will definitely make it next time! Thanks!

Becky Don't apologize for unloading - that is what we are here for. Sounds like you have really been through the wringer. Hope that baby helps to take some of the hurt away.

I've been MIA lately. Our son was home for about a week. He brought his truck home before deployment and then we drove him back to Norfolk. It was really hard to leave him at that ship.
So let's get busy planning a get together. Is Saturday or Sunday better for everyone? I know we can't please all but we can try. I really need a pick me up after this awful winter and now deployment so I am looking forward to meeting as many moms as I can. All your shoulders will come in handy LOL

My son just got his orders and they are for Oak Harbor, Washington! Boy am I relieved.
I also wanted to invite you all in for a hot stone treatment or a facial. I work for Origins at the Macy's in Southern Park Mall. The services are free! My facials & hot stone treatments are amazing if I do say so myself. So come on in to relax and remember the services are free. Just message me if you want to come in.

Wow LA that would be great. Things are a little hectic here right now but as soon as they calm down I will be there. Do you do make overs too? I really need to update my look and hide some of the wrinkles that the Navy is causing!

I would love to get togehter with other Moms in this area. I am so new at this and I have so many questions. My son is lving on his first deployment in mid May. I would like to go but I need to know the ins and outs of going/ I really need some help. You all seem like you have it all together. I am already cryin every time I tell someone he is leaving. I also have my son's best friend who is like my adopted son, leaving for Guam next week. Can some one help me out?

Cathy hang in there. We are here for you!! My son left last Saturday on deployment with the Ike. If you want to leave a message on my page I can answer questions and give you some advise. Or private message me if you feel more comfortable that way. Also check out the Mom's getting ready for Deployment group. I belong there and it is a really helpful group.

Meanwhile... I am waiting for my BFF to get back from a short trip and I will get a meet and greet planned for shortly after the first of March. Stay tuned.

You sound like a pro at this. I have so many questions I would really like to get together with other Moms in the area.

No pro here. Hey, we all have something to offer. I have learned so much from the other ladies here and still have a lot learn. What one doesn't know another one will or we will all figure it out together.

Hi Kathyrn, I want to go to Norfolk to watch my son's ship leave. I don't have the first idea on whatto do and where to go. Or if we are even allowed. I have seen other mothers pictures and I would like to do that. Can any body help me with this. Do I have to make arrangements or does my son have to do this. I think I am as clueless as he is. This is his first deployment. Aren't you the mom from Austintown?

Hi Cathy, yeah I'm from Austintown. Gonna PM you some info on going to Norfolk.
