Sailor's On Hold

Anybody have a sailor that is on hold? I heard that they were supposed to get a phone call today, but haven't gotten anything yet.

I'm still not sure what is going on. Mike is staying at great lakes for CS he said that he had to move over to the other side of the base by today at the latest but who knows I haven't heard from him. I have my cell phone with me and keep checking it every so often to make sure that it hasn't dropped signal. I miss my hubby so much. I can't wait to hear him again

yes, I am still crying about missing him. I didn't even go to school this morning.

I was trying to be strong but it just wasn't working for me.

I didn't break down this much when he left for bootcamp. It's just the unknown I think.

My Sailor Carissa is still @ GL waiting for orders. We did not get to see her After PIR for 4 hours. She had to change Ships and carry all her gear to the Quarterdeck before we could take her off base for Liberty. We saw her Saturday. But as of today she is still in GL.

Andrew is @ GL for a couple months... looks like I will be visiting chicago again...hopefully it will be warmer this time around!

I got a phone call tonite! Mike will find out when classes start next week. Hopefully it will be soon! He was supposed to have more liberty for being ship staff during bootcamp but he said he doesn't get that now. :( His school is only 6 weeks and then I get to see him again!

I am debating going to GL, I have the week off from school. Mike said that we need to talk about it a little more. I am guessing once he receives his cell phone. We can do that. I hope he says I can. I think he just doesn't know how much time he will be allowed off base and doesn't want me to waist a trip.

My son is on hold in GL. He too had to move right after PIR...we didn't see him until 3:00 on Friday. (moved across the street to ship 17 in the hold section) Had him all day on Saturday and then again on Sunday. We heard from him on Tuesday eveing but nothing again. Hope we get a phone call tonight to find out what's up.

I think not knowing what is happening is the hardest part.

Heard from my son last night. We're heading to GL to see him tomorrow. Can't wait! That is one nice thing about them being in GL...we live close enough that we can hop over in a day and get back home the same day.
