My boyfriend. He wasn't suppose to go until May 2010. We had 4 days for him to prepare to leave! I haven't got any letters and only one call! Have you got anything? Does yours graduate Oct. 9th?

I only got the form letter last Monday. Yes. Mike graduates Oct. 9th. So, is your boyfriend in the same division?

I got that letter too! On the bottom it said that he would be able to call and write in about 3 weeks, but I tohught it would be sooner! Matt is in the same division too! Where are you from? We live in Ft. Worth, or I do...for now! I looked on a website and they graduate at 10:00 AM! We are trying to plan a vacation aroung his graduation(my sister and I), but it's hard b/c everything is still so up in the air! Also, he was suppose to get paid today, but nothing's posted yet! Where are yall from? Do you know how small there divisions are? It would be funny if they knew each other. There's no telling tho, there are probably 500+ ppl in their division, or so I'd think!

We are from Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Near Cape Cod. We have all our plans made already. So, I'm a little confused. Matt is getting paid already? Is he a new recruit? It would be nice it they got to know as many as they could in their dividions. I heard it was around 70. That's was my son said. I hope I get a letter tomorrow. Nice chatting. They start getting paid immediatly...or that's what the recuiter told us! We set everything up on direct deposit so i hope that's the case! I just got laid off about 3 weeks ago and yesterday was my last day! We are kind of depending on those checks to hold us/me over until my new job kicks in next week! My email is [e-mail]! Hi pauline and gina,
I made my way to this discussion room...my son is ship3 div350. i noticed on-line that there are 14 divisions graduating oct 9 which is larger than usual... about 80 recruits per div so about 1,000 new sailors! as far as pay, my son's checks are direct deposit into navy fed, and from what i hear the first few are small beacuse they deduct uniform, personal item, etc . costs. pauline , i sent you an e-mail... i'm going to check the mailbox now... let you know later. pam

I got 3 letters yesterday and he said he wasn't getting piad until the 15th and they were going to deduct like $1000 in expenses! He said they were donig good, but everyone was a little mouthy! They need to shape up so we can all have more time with the family! :)
