Barbara, will be praying for the entire situation. I agree with JAS that we raise them the best we can, then they have to take responsibility for their actions. Hopefully the time away from him will do her good when she goes back, I'm just sorry that you and your family are having to go through this.

She came to the house when we where not home packed up some things & will be staying at him house the whole time she is here on leave. she is not even responding back on text or phone calls. just heart renching

I am so sorry Barbara I know when we met at the meet and greet you were hoping that she would get rid of the loser. You are a wonderful family and you deserve only the best. You have endured many hardships in life and I'm trully sorry you have to go through this. I will pray for your family and your daughter, hopefully she will come to her senses and make the right decision, Until then know that you have been the best possible parents to her and her actions have no reflection on you and how you raised her.

hang in there Barbara..... that would be tough! i hope each and everyone of you have a special holiday with your sailor.... i took today off so Cody and I could go Christmas shopping together.. i am looking for an all day trip with my son :)... happy holidays....

I will be praying for your daughter. As our children grow up we do our best to teach them and guide them to be productive citizens. However when they grow up sometimes no matter what advise we give them they make the wrong choice. I am sorry you and your husband are devastated. I know I would be, however rest assured you have done a good job raising her and this too shall pass. The longer she is away from him the more she will come to realize his true colors. I know this may be a little goofy however, your daughter has been trained as a military warrior and I don't think she allow him to push around as before, we must believe this. We will pray for her safety and a clear mind so she will realize who really loves her. Now this is the 2nd part of my prayer, we will pray that the words that come out of his mouth will not set right with her and she will leave that house. Just enjoy the time she comes to spend with you. I will be praying!! Keep us posted. We are here for you. JAS

Ladies i am for a loss of words thank you for all your support help and prayers. Grandfathers recovery was truly a gift but with one gift we where lost your heart to another.We picked up Katelyn at the airport had a nice dinner told her all about her grandfather, and we went home at the time she showered made a call and left worried we finally got threw to her on her cell phone at 2 am. she was at her boyfriends house and did not care if her had cheated on her or had been abusive to her, and set the ultimatum to her family that he is her family now and his family is hers and she would be staying with them. She would try to spend time with everyone later on. She has broken every ones hearts in the family. We risked our new home security deposit to pay for her flight to come home with family, she told us all her plans to be with us, and she has abandoned her whole family. Her closest friends are crushed because she will not come down to this area to be with them, and will only go anywhere with him as he has demanded. it is him or her family.
I am tearfully ashamed all of the love values and family devotion we have tough her have vanished in one felt swoop. Hubby & I are utterly devastated!

Happy for your good news Barbara!
Hope everyone enjoys their holidays and if you get to spend it with your sailor, that is even better! Josh won't be home until the 28th, but at least we'll get a few days with him home. We figure he won't be here again for quite some time so we want to savor it!

I wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas filled with lots of peace and Joy. I hope everyone is staying warm it has been cold with lots and lots wind here. JD will be here tomorrow afternoon, keep your fingers crossed that the weather hold in Chicago so that he is able to fight out at 6:40 in the morning.
