i was curious so i looked up the adopt a sailor program. I found this link out a few from local papers at GL.

We got a letter from our son yesterday sounds like he misses home he is in div 909 ship 6.

he was talking about signing up for adopt a sailor for Christmas he said if he does this he will be able to call home.

Our son said he has still not received any mail from us, I think he is starting to think that maybe we moved LOL. We have sent plenty of mail for him to read, would love to see his face when he gets it all.

Another thing he talked about was weekend liberty after graduation, it sounded like he will have weekend liberty (maybe) the weekend of PIR that would be great because we plan on driving up from NY Long Island. Can’t wait almost done with week three (counting P week) only six to go.

Hello,
My son Matt is in Div 066. He called his wife on Wednesday night for some info he needed for their son. He said he was lonely but doing good otherwise. He had passed a swim test & Thursday he was going to have a PT test. He did not speak to me directly. but at least I know he was well on Wednesday night. I have not received a letter from him since last Saturday. And he told her that he had not received any mail as of Wednesday this week...I hope he has gotten something by now tho.

hello everyone, welcome to our group....we've grown!!! Anyone have recent news from div. 066??? I'm aching for a letter or phone call.....any piece of news would be great!!! (well as long as it's good news of course!)

Nicole; I would definately send Princeton some stamps with your next letter. I sent some with J when he left because they will usually let them write more than they will call.
Tom's mom, I think they are starting to train for battle stations as J said he had his swim test yesterday 1-one training. I added the RTC website to BC page this has a ton of info regarding graduation if you haven't been on this site yet, try to take the ime to explore it. If you have, I apologize for being redundant.
42 more days ladies.
The guys in my son's DIV know they are graduating on 1/15/09. I told him and he confirmed as they had already told him that.

and remember the mail is almost a week behind, my son left november 18th so he is gone 17 days nex week starts his 4th week 3 weeks not countin P week (processing) total of 9. I do not think they realize they are graduating on a thirday due to a holiday (martin luther) is friday most graduations are fridays or wednesday i believe. My son thought he was graduating on friday 1/16/2009

Yay! We finally have a group! :) We got our first mail from TJ today! Sam, TJ's fiance got 2 and we (Mom & Dad) got 2. He said the hardest part is he's soooo homesick. I get the feeling that he doesn't think we have been writing to him, but I wrote every single day. I didn't get his address until last Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), and we mailed 8 letters that day. I mail letters every day now... I'm now very glad I dated every single letter! :) TJ is ship 9, div 069. He did say he is upset because he doesn't think their 8 weeks start until today?? I hope that's not true and that they don't change the PIR date. Anybody else hear anything about that? Hopefully they are just playing head games, but who knows...

hey have you girls been receiving letters I only received a generic letter from my son. that was the letter with the address info. I have not received any personal letters. we have wriiten letters and sent several cards to him. I hope everything is ok. the time is beginning to move a alot faster now it has been 2weeks already. I know our kids may not be feeling that the time is moving but it is. I am praying that I hear from him this weekend.
