She looks great handling that big ole clock. I look at my grandmom and wonder where she gets the strength. The kids run me around all the time and I am just whipped, but then I see our elder generation and know if they can do it.. I can too. My grandma always says life is to be lived.

Sure will Judy... Sure miss the mom I had then. I hope she can continue to get better. She is so confused so often anymore.

My mother was on the Antique Roadshow for Wichita hour 1 last night, Feb. 16, 2009, with a clock that my grandfather found the the dump in Cincinnati, Ohio when she was a small child. They said that there were only 4 of these clocks made in 1910 for opticians offices. They know where 3 are now. It's worth about $4,500-$5,000

I am so happy mom got to be on the show. As some know my mother had a stroke in Oct and has not fully recovered but she enjoyed

Aaron is an amazing son. He has always been involved with the church in one way or another. Even in BC, he spent Fridays and Saturdays (whatever time he had) helping the Chaplain. He enjoyed it and it helped tremendously with the adjustments he had to make being away from home. His Div.was 047 and he is in Pensacola for AO. He is still waiting for school to start.

Denise, sounds like you too have an amazing son! That is so very sweet that he put all your names on his tattoo:) My husband got a tattoo a few years ago after having thought about it for years. His is a fish and its in an inconspicuous (sp?) place under his watchband. It's just a reminder of his growing relationship with Christ. That's so cool that your son got a tatto of a cross.

Just curious - what DIV was your son at GL? What is he doing for the Navy in P-cola? My son graduated from DIV 038 and is hopefully going to be a CTT (Cryptology Technician).

I agree completely with Sheree. How great is it that the Navy is bringing out the best in our young men. My son did something slightly similar. He surprised us with a tattoo. Of course he's in P'cola and only sent us a text picture of what it looks like. He got a cross on his chest with a banner weaved around it with mine, my husbands and my daughters names on it. "So that he can carry us with him wherever he goes" And all he ever did was fight with his sister up until the day he left. My, what men they become.

Wow, that is so cool, Princess. I have to say that i would not be a fan of my
son loading his body up with tatoos, but how cool is it that he chose to get one so meaningful. He sounds like he truly is becoming a very good man.

Congrats Jan on having your sailor at home.

Ladies, I just dropped my son off again at bootcamp. Boy, was I ever surprised when I picked him up today to discover that he had a new tattoo! But, what made me more happy was that the tattoo was of his little sister's Jasmine who died from SIDS more than 15 years ago on Feb. 28th. That boy really knows how to touch his mom.

Hi all, picked up Mike from the airport yesterday he's glad to be home for a couple of weeks.

I took him over to my moms, his grandma, this morning, she hasn't seen him since he left for bc. She was so excited. She is taking him shopping on Tuesday, most of his civilian clothes are to big for him now.
