Hello and Happy Holidays to all!!! First, my apology to all for not keeping contact...This past year has not been good..my comp is shot and still have not been able to get another one so I rely on my local public library...But.........

BRIAN CAME HOME YESTERDAY 12/17/09 on leave!!!! Brian will be home until 12/27---then my heart will break all over again (: He made his pass in review and also got upped to Expert Marksman...He will get his medal on the next awards dinner...think it is in March when he goes up for CPO...It has been one year ladies since we were there in Great Lakes Illinois---Santa hats and all...I will never forget anyone of you or the experience we each shared..

GOD Bless Our Navy Men and Women...Peace to All...Christine

Hello everyone! I haven't been on in a long time. Does anyone have a son on the USS Nebraska? My son is out for the first time as of the end of November, I am missing him so much. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I forgot to say in my last post where Will is. He woke up today in Whidbey Island. He said yesterday before leaving Miramar, Ca that he was going to miss California. I asked him if he was excited and he said yes and no because he liked it there so much. He has been in school and waiting for school all year. He finished "C" school last week and is finally going to be able to do his real job which is ATI. I miss him terribly and Christmas will be weird without him. I imagine he will freeze his little Florida butt off in Washington state!

This year has gone by so quickly hasn't it? It seems like only yesterday we were freezing at PIR. The drive was long, the weather was horrible, but it really was one of the best days ever. I'm so happy that I got to meet so many of you as well as your wonderful children. I would love to hear how each of your sailor's is doing now. Merry Christmas to each of you.

Isn't it amazing how fast the year went by??? Last year this week we were all stressing out about BATTLESTATIONS!!!!!!!! Remember how cold and snowy it was? Jamie and her husband driving in that awful ice and snow........wow...and when those big garage doors opened>>>>>>>>>>>>(tears now)...how we all screamed and cried. (crying now).. How wonderful our kids looked and how happy we were to hug and kiss them.(really crying now)....i miss you guys!! I wish everyone would at least pop in to say hi and tell what their son/daughter is doing and where.....ok? Merry Christmas friends..I hope you are all well.

Barb,
Congratulations to your Ryan. My Ryan just finished his first 7 month deployment. It looks like a lot has happened since we all met last year in Great Lakes. Hope everyone is well and that you all have a great Christmas season.

Ryan is married now and has a new baby boy born on Veterans Day. He is stationed in Lemoore CA for C School and will be at Miramar sometime in March. Not sure when they will make it home, but it won't be for Christmas. Airfare is just too expensive from Cali to Indiana.

Rebecca, we have a great group of Washington moms. Come and check out our group. There is lots of info in there about Whidbey. I love Washington. At least you will know someone here and are always welcome to stay for free! And Will will have a place for holidays if he can't get home too.

Ian's ordered were changed. He will be stationed in SanDiego waiting for the Michael Murphy to be completed. Still a long wait but he is much happier knowing he will be in the Pacific fleet.
