hey everyone Brandon was real excited when he got to p-cola he had great roommate and thought everything was great. today he said they all had to move to second floor to make room for the girls but they didn't get to keep same roommates. he didn't sound to excited about that, but he said he is doing clases they need to stay busy waiting to class up!!

Chelsea, I found a pic of the honor guard with rifles from PIR 4/10/09. I've put it in the photos on my page, but it's waiting to be approved. I'd post it wherever you could get it and see it if I weren't so technology-challenged. Can't figure out how to post it here. Maybe by tomorrow, you can go to my page and see it and copy it. Or, accept the friend invitation and PM me your email. I do know how to attach pics to email! LOL!

Moms, tell your kids to be very careful who they make friends with. Also, watch out for the ones that have been there awhile. Brittany has suite mates next door who are out for themselves and have done some underhanded things to Brittany and her roommate already. PM me if you want an explanation.

hi everyone! I would just like to ask one more time if anyone got any good pictures of the 900 division performing at your graduation. Especially the honor guard that had the rifles,because thats what Drey did in your graduation. Drey didn't get to perform at his graduation last friday because he had already done 2, and im desperately trying to get pictures of him performing. If you have any write me a message please! thanks for the help!!

I just read this in Military.com "Some Sailors' Moves Delayed
Week of April 20, 2009

The Navy announced plans to place a temporary hold on selected permanent change of station (PCS) moves in order to remain within budget. The decision means that as many as 14,000 Sailors who have not already received orders may not be able to transfer until after Oct. 1, 2009 when the new fiscal year begins. Individuals currently under orders will be allowed to rotate as planned. Exceptions to the PCS hold include orders for Sailors separating from the service, individual augmentees and Global War On Terrorism Support Assignments (GSA), new accessions, organization moves and selected Joint Professional Military Education (JPME), graduate education moves and readiness moves."

Kathy, yeah, there are so many pitfalls out there. Oh, tell her to check the air vents and stuff because they will look for every speck of dirt. I hope Sara doesn't get too stressed out. Take care!

Guess it was a good thing Sara's group left at 2am...nothing was open at the airport! lol

I passed along your advice, and the info about the 'handbook'. She is adding that to her 'list of to do'. She is staying busy taking care of all this mess. They had a surprise inspection today and she took some 'hits' for things her roomie had left (and she did not realize....her roomie has no lock on her cabinet!). She got a 'satisfactory' on it, but she is stressing. She is trying so hard to be 'perfect'....as always.

Sara has really enjoyed the ppl at Corry. Onc`e this mess is cleared up and the next phase begins, I think she will be happier.

Brittany was telling me that when they were at the airport waiting to go to Pcola, they had hours to run around and she said kids were spending hundreds of dollars on expensive items. I"m glad she had been on her own for several years prior to going in the service! She has a good roomie and they've been cleaning all this past weekend getting ready for inspections on Tuesday. These happen every Tuesday and they get rated on it. Their third roomie leaves today for c class so they'll have an empty bed til the next one comes. Make sure Sara asks a lot of questions. Brittany noticed that other rooms had a handbook but theirs didn't. They asked the other girl who was there before them and she said they didn't need it. Brittany went to the Yeoman and the Yeoman about had a cow! Those handbooks have a certain place to be in every room. So she got one. The kids have to stay on top of things at all times and ask questions constantly because the ones that have been there for a while sometimes get lazy. Brittany has found some kids to look up to and ask things to. About the food thing, lol Brittany said she had her few days of eating everything so now she's going to stay close to the galley for meals but eat out once a week or so just to break up the boredom. The one thing that makes me very happy is the fact that the other day she told me that for once in her life she understands and can feel what it's like to be really independent. I've been waiting for five years to hear that! I even think she's dropping the bf from back where she lived before. She realizes it can't work. He's got issues and is a little younger than she. Brittany has been enjoying the company of everyone where she's at and her bf would not approve of that. I told her to keep going forward now and NOT look back. She is finally growing up! *whew*
