Dan is on tap for this afternoon from PC to Philly.
He ended up staying at another divers house for the two days.

I hope and pray that Aaron has a safe journey to Washington State. He should made a video journal along the way. I think he sounds like a kid that would do that.

Hugs to all our sailors.

Hey Gerry, Aaron told me that Dan had text him and said his flight had been cancelled. I was sad to hear that and hope things go well in his travels tomorrow. Sending fair weather prayers your way.

Dee, glad to hear your son is home too, I know what you mean Aaron went straight back to his room to play video games. It really is like he never left except that he seems more grown up and is making plans for his cross country journey to Washington state.

Hope everyone has a good week. Joyce

Dan can not get home until Monday and is not too happy with two days of leave taken away from him from Mother Nature.

I told him that there are a few things in life that you will never have control over and one of them is the weather.

We are abundant with snow right now. It looks very pretty, but is a headache just the same.

I am very thankful for Joyce for taking pictures of the graduation, thank you Joyce for being so wonderful...

Have a blessed holidays everyone.

love ya,
ger

Aaron and Gerry's Dan have graduated from dive school. It was a very nice and personable ceremony. Aaron is home for the holidays and Dan is heading home today. I hope the weather is accommodating because I know a Navy Mom that can't wait to hug her son. Gerry, I'm thinking of you :)

Oh my lovely alumni group. Sherri, you hit it right on the head.
They wanted to see the world and the Navy is their way they are getting there.

Now I have to go and cry. If I Google Earth Guam I might not come out of my house for days.

Good night all.

Getting my FB together. I am just a wee bit slow on this adventure.

Hi everyone!
I was just reading about everyone and I am so happy for the ones who get to have their sailors at home for Christmas. Nash is stationed in Hawaii now - soooo far from South Carolina. He really likes it there. He also left on his first deployment a few weeks ago and will not be home for the holidays :( The closer it gets to Christmas, the more it bothers me. It will be hard to not have my "baby" around this year.

I went to google earth today and typed in the port he is at currently and the whole world turned around!!! It's hard to believe that he is so far away. My prayers go out to all the families that are missing their sailors and soldiers this year. On the bright side, we will have many, many more years to make up for it.

From Santa this year, I want a globe. I want to be able to turn it around and see all the places he will be. He wanted to see the world - he got what he wanted.

Merry Christmas to everyone!
