My best wishes to all the sailors and families facing the first deployment, my heart goes out to you. I read somewhere, sailors, go out, do your job to the best of your ability, and come back home again soon. Praying they all come home soon and the ##@$%! war is over soon! Thank goodness we have a wonderful bunch of guys and gals providing us with security. They have a very tough job. Let's not forget to be thankful.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Every day gets a little easier. It helps knowing that he loves the Navy and what he does. I am very proud of him and his service. Thanks to all your children too, near and far, for serving. That's one thing that I have learned from all of this...that we can never say "thank you" enough.

Becky, my heart goes out to you. Reading your post I cried, I know it so very hard. You're in my thoughts and prayers. It made me remember when Jennifer left for Bootcamp, that pit in your stomach never goes away. Take care of yourself....

hey ladies, Its been awhile since I have been on. Jason was home for 2 weeks he left for Norfolk on the 7th. We have a great time and enjoyed Thanksgiving withhim. We have a lot to be thankfull for. He will be deployed out in January, Imiss him so much. Just hearing the laughter in my home with all 4 kids was priceless. We ofter tell our kids to ssshhhh.... but what I would do to hear all that noise again. He has grown so much into a nice young man. Christmas will ne so hard without him. His birthday is next Thursday the 17th he will be 19. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Spend time wisely with your childern time so so fast.

Becky - I'm sure you must be so proud of Adam. I'm glad you had a nice visit with him. He will do great on his adventure! I've emailed your post and his pic to Marissa. She cried. Best wishes to you both.

Hi everyone! Adam deployed Wed for Bahrain. We got to take him to Norfolk and wait with him until flight tiime. I thought taking him to MEPS was the hardest thing ever, but I have to say this time was rougher. I am very appreciative that I got 14 days with him over Thanksgiving before he left. I miss him so much. He called today to let me know that he was settled in, had purchased a cell phone, had a roommate that he likes, and that he starts indoc classes Sunday. So starts a new journey! Love and hugs to all you Navy Moms.

Hey ladies! Jerrad arrived in VA last night, went to NAS Norfolk to check in to TPU (transient housing) and found out his ship had came in a couple days before..so he actually is on his ship right now. He has indoc. tomorrow, and we're HOPING he can come home for Christmas! We found out he wont be able to come for our kiddos birthdays bc they'll be out =(.
