Chris,

I would have your son talk to his career counselor at his school. See if they can call the Loan Repayment Center for guidance. If they cant do anything I dont htink it would hurt to call the congressmen. Without knowing the whole story I cant give you solid advice.

HI,
I'm hoping you can give me some much needed answers. My son graduated from college in May. He enlisted in the Navy after talking with all the recruiters from each branch of the military. At MEPs they offered to pay off his loans. He scored well and enlisted with the intention on corpsmen school. When go got ready to leave for boot they redid his contract because they had him as a E1 instead of a E3. The repayment for loans was left off. Now in boot he was told that it was too late to do anything. He graduates from A-School in January. He's an EPO in his class and doing great. He's resigned himself to paying off $20,000 in school loans even though he received no signing bonus and most of the sailors he's in school with did. I feel so badly for him. Anything I can do to help? One of his HM1's told him maybe to contact our congressman but I hate to do that if I have another answer. What do you suggest?

Yes I was in PHX for almost 5 years and now I am at NRD Denver.

It generally does not matter. However the begining of the month is the best time to enlist.

I have a recruiter question. When is the best time of the year to talk to a recruiter about enlisting? Or does it matter? Does recruiter have anything to do with the fiscal new year? Thank you!

You are now officially a BC Mom and that Group is where you will find information about your son's Division. :) The Recruiters here won't be able to answer your questions about what is going on in that specific Division. Once you've joined, you should post your question there and also ask if there is already Groups for his Division and PIR date, then join them too. You will be able to compare information, phone calls and letters with other Moms/loved ones who have Recruits in Div 062 or whatever Div/PIR he is part of. :-) Hope that helps guide you to the answers you seek. =)

I would like to know if there is div 62; when I received the official navy letter my son wrote that he was in this div.
I there a way to know about this div,maybe 2 people wrote about it.....
Please somebody let me know....
