The Cracker Barrel in Coventry right? 11 AM sounds great, and I'll probably have Sarah with me. We have to go to my parents and set up for Heather's bridal shower on Sunday.

My first born is coming to my parents on Friday. I finally get to meet my son in law.

Lynne, hang in there. The goodbyes are awful, but the welcome homes are heaven. As are the phone calls, emails, and any contact home. And Virginia isn't as far as some of t he other places they can be sent to. You can drive there in a day trip.

Hope you are have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and our sailors away from home as well.

Can't wait to see you all!

Hi Moms, I've been waiting to see how things are progressing,,and know I won't be able to handle a long ride to Washington. to be with Jeff, this holiday. =(.
Would like to see you all Sat. morning, also. Think Cracker Barrel would be ok,,,say 11 a.m.??? We have alot of new RI Moms... hope they can all come!!
Lynne,, I agree with Maryanne,, goodbys are hard,,no matter how long they are in the Navy,,,,,,but ohhhhhh the welcome home tears are wonderful too!!!

Lynne, I still have one in Virginia too. It is nice having them somewhat close by. Of course he will be leaving there in January and headed to San Diego. It was good while it lasted though. His brother is in San Diego so at least they will be close by to one another and SD is a GREAT place to visit for mom!!! Glad you had a great time with Michael and yes, it is STILL hard for me to say goodby. I don't think you ever really get used to that. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! Enjoy!

Hi everyone, just an update on Michael. he is in Virginia looks like he will be there for awhile. Dropped him off after 2 weeks home.... it was wonderful to spend time with him.... but also sad to leave him, but at least I know where he is and my sister lives right near the base... just a 9 hour drive for me if I want to go see him.. hope everyone is well... happy thanksgiving

I'll be spending Saturday night at my mom's as we will be getting ready for Heather's bridal shower on Sunday. I might see if I can sneak off to Amanda's if she needs me to help pack things up later in the afternoon. But earlier in the day I could meet you all. Where and when? Sounds like fun!

Is anybody going to be around saturday after Thanksgiving? I will be in RI. I have to have a dress that I bought up there altered, but that is my only scheduled event for the day so far! Exciting life I know!!! Let me know. I am game for a get together. I haven't seen anyone up there since the air show!!!!

Jean, I would love to get together. It has been toooooo long. I have not been on in a while, I spend way too much time on facebook! A weekday would be better for me, I have something just about every weekend from now until Christmas! Hope to see you soon.

Lynne, Not too sure who Michael would ask, but he could start with an LPO (a first class petty officer in charge of his work area) or a chief. Since he is in transition so to speak I don't know that he has either one at this point. I think he should just ask around especially a first or second class PO if he can. I just texted my youngest to find out what he is doing for Christmas too because of the flight thing. These flights get so darn expensive the longer you wait. I hope he can get some info for you soon!

Hi Moms! Hope everyone is well. I have not been on for quite some time with all thats goin on round here too. Day to day struggles and such.

Jean, Cracker Barrel sounds good to me too. Its been way to long and I feel so outa touch!

One awesome thing though....Josh is coming home for Thanksgiving. It will be somewhat difficult to tell him that the house is gone, haven't done so yet. Didn't want to take his focus away from school, ya know?
