Let anybody know who needs help we are going to be in IL the 19th-27th and we can help too....after that we are back home in Goose Creek SC, if anybody needs food or a place to stay or just a family to hang with, they can get ahold of me!!!

We are immediately off of I-40 in Amarillo and would gladly offer help to any travelers going to New Mexico, Arizona (northern), Colorado, etc. I make a "mean chicken spaghetti!"

Just to let all Navy Moms know that if there is a sailor or armed forces personnel needing a meal over the holildays and will be traveling through Springfield, Missouri, I will be here and can help with a good home cooked meal. Just let me know.

The same here we live close to Roanoke, VA off I-81. If anyone is coming thru and needs a place or meal or just a family to spend a night or two with please let me know. My husband and I are both retired US Navy.

Update from that Texas HM Mom (posted in the blog) :

"The funeral is in Sinton, TX, about 30 miles out of Corpus Christi on 181. Those with friends and family in Beeville, Mathis, Gregory, Port Aransas, as well as Corpus Christi, are within driving distance to Sinton.

Those in Louisana, East Texas, Mississippi, (to name a few) are on the path of these young Marines to offer meals, or lodging."

We have an N4M Corpsman mom (their Sailors are Docs to the Marines) with lots of military ties in Corpus Christi already on it this morning, but I'm know any other help will be welcome and they sure could use some meals and warm beds along the way! What better time then at Christmas. :) Just sorry they are traveling for such a sad reason! :(

I live near Chicago...I doubt if they come my way, but I'd be happy to help if they do. Maybe we can organize a place to stay or stop if we knew the route they were taking. I could try and call a church in athe area they plan to stop (maybe half way). When are they leaving and returning? I'll pm you my number.
