My son will be going out of O'Hare. We just checked and the USO is open there 24/7. Thank you every one.

Howell, where is your son coming from? I live about 45 minutes from O'Hare or is he flying out of Midway?
I do know the USO at O'Hare is open 24 hours a day (some of them aren't)

Tell him to head to the USO... check their hours though... the one here in Seattle is open 24/7... they offer beds, sandwiches and snacks, xbox, movies and friendly volunteers that staff the desk!

Once he gets to the airport have him check in at the USO, My son isn't coming home until Jan 4th, and he has a four hour layover is Chicago, he said that he is just going to hang out at the USO, said they have cookies! Wish I were downstate that day, we'd offer to drive him over, but have to work Christmas so we are spending it in the UP by ourselves this year.

My son is home for Christmas but he is to report to Pensacola Fl. on the 26. The prooblem is they have him plying out of Chicago at noon. So he has to take a train to chicago but he will arrive 13 hours a head.Does anyone have any ideas? Good Bless and Merry Christmas

I am in central Illinois (Bloomington). We are celebrating early this year due to my sailor's leave schedule. If anybody wants a nice warm family meal on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, send me a text or call ~~ We are supposed to be getting some nasty icy weather, too, so we'll be here if someone can't get to or from Great Lakes for some reason. Hope it all worked out alright.
My son is caught in the same snow trap.
Am still awaiting his departure...much less his arrival.
