UPDATE: My son left Carl Vinson back in March and is now in San Diego, so anyone who wants to keep this going is welcome to it.

hi Chris my son tyson is in the same barracks,He is in A school for AA and is waiting to class up ,not untill the end of july,

Susan, I'm afraid I forgot to tell anyone when my son left Pensacola, so someone else will have to be in charge of Carl Vinson barracks. My son is in San Diego finishing up Rescue Swimmer training.

Try flying in and out of Moblie (Alabama) and renting a car to drive the rest of the way. P'cola is only a small regional airport so it costs way more to fly in and out of. My son did the Mobile thing once and it was much cheaper. Priceline will get you the best deal but you have to be prepared to dicker with them.
