My son is in Gulfport right now. If anyone is out there with their Seabee in Gulfport, come talk to us. We would love to talk about all the things going on with our sailors!

My son just got to Gulfport on 9/18, right after his PIR. He is a BU and said that his A school was starting today (Sept 21st). Are there any other mom's whose sons/daughters started school today too?

My son, Daniel broke his ankle and severed the nerve. He underwent surgery yesterday his time. I'm praying he recovers fully and we hear from him soon. Anyone know if there's someone I can contact regarding finding out information? He's in the field in the sandbox. At an F.O.B.

I will keep Daniel and you in my prayers. I am sure you don't want to go the way I did and called every hospital down there until I found my son who was in the ER with a possible ruptured appendix. When I got to my son he told me I should have called the Red Cross and they would have updated me. Don't if that is accurate but it sounds like a great place to at least start from.

My son has yet to deploy to the sandbox, but when his father deployed many years ago, I was told to contact the Red Cross if there was ever an emergency. They would know how to get in touch with him.

I'm so sorry that Daniel is hurt. It's awful, no matter the injury, when our kids get hurt so far from home. No matter what, we can never turn off the "mom button." Hang in there.

Hello everyone, My sister is fixing to be in Gulfport for her C-school. She is a UP. Can anyone give me some idea to pass on to her about the weather?? She grew up in New Mexico has spent some time in Oklahoma and Houston visiting family, but otherwise really hasn't been anywhere else that close to the gulf.

My daughter is leaving A school in Port Heuneme Nov 6 and will be stationed in Gulfport Nov 20. I sure would like to learn more about Gulfport. She is a construction mechanic.
