Hello Everyone!!! I have started my countdown on facebook.. You know I am the countdown Queen.. I got the badge to prove it at the meet and greet.. So Whooo Hoooo 12 more days and Shelton will fly in for Christmas. He also has completed phase 2 so he can wear his civie clothes.. He went shopping at the mall on Sunday.. Jeans are smaller size these days lol. He had his first big test today and as soon as school was out he txt I aced the test Mom.. I was so excited. Yesterday he called and spoke to everyone for about 30 min each.. Old mom here kinda knew something was up , and last night before bed he txted to me and said I am having one of those missing everyone days.. And Of course I cried and have on and off all day.. he doesn't know it, but I just told him 12 more days.. When they leave for there Duty stations we are so going to need each other again Moms so let's stay together..

Hey ladies, I know I am way behind but It's been crazy here! I left Wed. morning to pick Justin up in SC. It was 5 1/2 hrs one way, but didn't seem bad at all. He spent most of his time with his friends while he was home...pretty depressing for us, but I understand. He hasn't seen any of them since Sept & he just spent the weekend with us two weeks ago LOL. I took him back Sunday morning & we got a chance to talk for a while. He said he wishes he would have spent more time with us & that most of the time with his friends was just wasted. His friends dad had a float in the Christmas parade, so he got to be in the parade with them in his uniform!!!! That was a great feeling seeing him up there! I videotaped him coming home since it was a surprise for the kids & the look on my daughters face was priceless! It is so nice being able to talk to him now that he has his phone & computer back! I get to go pick him up on the 18th & Im already SO excited!

Hi Sue. So sorry I missed everyone at the PIR. Once I was there I was so numb I couldn't even focus anymore. Our Sailors were/are so Handsome and it was just so exciting to see them all there tall and proud... Alex stayed there in Great Lakes. Its been so hard because he is so far away.I love the fact that we get to talk everymorning,night and in between breaks but I wish he was a little closer. His School has been put on TBD at this time and from the news we have gotten it will be for a year. Depressing.
On the other side though We get to pick him up in San Diego on Dec. 18th and his leave ends on Jan.3rd. So you can imagine me right now getting together a to do list and trying to write everthing down so I wont miss a thing. I know once he is here Ill probably forget all I want and need to do but at least I attempted right.
I hope all your Sailors are doing good and congrats on being able to wear the civilian clothes. Alex cant wait either. I tell him I want to take him everywhere in uniform and he already told me I want to wear my jeans too mom. LOL.

Hi Marina and Paula....yes, I sat behind both of you in the next section to your left at graduation. Nate didn't do the jump thing as the weather was too windy. He is enjoying Pcola. Paula, I checked out the pics of Shelton, and isn't it great that with technology we can get to see where our boys actually live. I surfed the net for almost 6 hours trying to get a decent airfare home for the christmas holidays. I finally took one that was not too cheap, but if it brings the boy home....I'm happy. Marina, where is Alex???? I must have missed any posts on that. Nate is with several of his division mates in Pcola. He rooms with one and others are in his barracks so that is kinda nice. He got authorized to wear civilian clothes today and he is happy as a pig in poop....but he is really anxious to come home.

Hi Paula, Im so glad someone adopted your Sailor. Alex worked ALL day on Thanksgiving with the exception of meal breaks. He was a little tired at the end of the day but he also had Liberty for the rest of the weekend. So all in all it worked out ok for him. His schooling is still TBD so we have our fingers crossed and hope they can get something going soon.
We are on a countdown though. YEA we get 2 WEEKS OFF FOR CHRISTMAS..... I have been preparing my menus so I wont miss anything on his request list. Although I will be really busy I DONT MIND.... I WANT TO SPEND AS MUCH TIME WITH HIM..... IT IS STILL SO HARD... I MISS HIM LIKE I KNOW ALL YOU MISS YOUR SAILORS TOOOOOO.....

Hello!!! we made it through another part of our new Journey... Shelton ate Thanksgiving dinner with a family that I met on his rate site.. AZ.. She and I have been talking since the first of BC and she has a daughter with Shelton. Her daughter will graduate Dec 8th. She rented a cabin near the base and invited Shelton along with other Sailor's... So thankful God makes Angels for when Momma's can't be there... She took lot's of pics so I can't wait to see them..Sue how was Nate's Jumps? Holly hurry and get the camera.. I have been doing web cam forever. I have a 3 month old granddaughter in Tx and I see her on the webcam all the time, then this Friday I spent Friday night with Shelton on webcam... It was so funny he showed me all around his Mod. I was walking around showing off athe house decorated for christmas.. But it was hard for me to say goodbye when we decided to get off. Glad Jeff is doing good.. I keep thinking Holly's got to go through this AGAIN. Wow.. You will be one tough Mom. Hello Mary I with you can't wait till Christmas. Alex's mom I am great.. Did you get the email I sat right behind ou at PIR and didn't realize till I got back home and saw your pic.. I hate to hear the delay in classes but the Sailor's don;t seem to mind.. Shelton did find out he classes up in Dec so we'll see.. Havae a wonderful week.. stay in-touch.

Thanks for the updates from our ship and division. I just framed all of the graduation pics this weekend, and wished Nate would have identified all of his shipmates in the division photo. I'm anxiously awaiting the DVD from graduation, and am hoping it's a DVD rather than a VHS tape. I missed so much of graduation by trying to get photos of it. I look online and families have pics of the liberty call, but I have no pics since I was behind the camera....and my sailor was off to get travel orders with barely a hug.....Nonetheless, our sailors are out of BC and embarked on their respective Naval careers....I know we can be very proud of each and every one of them..and I'm proud to say that I am glad to have been on this journey with each of you. It has made it so much easier. Thanks to all of you.

I know that the Thanksgiving Holiday is over, but I am sending my belated wishes. It was weird not having Jeff home, but we talked for almost an hour on Thanksgiving. He is missing everyone a lot. They haven't started actual sub school yet. They have been just hanging out since they left GL. Supposedly they are suppose to start tomorrow, the 30th. But, he heard it may be delayed. I guess A School comes after sub school. It is nice being able to talk with him. His computer finally made it to him so he can "skype" so him and his girlfriend can see each other while they visit. Unfortunately I don't have a camera on my computer so I haven't been to skype yet. Well, again, Happy belated Thanksgiving.... and .....Happy Holiday's!
