Gabby, I'm glad you had the chance to spend time with Devon. I bet she was pretty happy. Sometimes, it does take awhile for a class to fill up in order for it to start.

Lisa, Trista, it was very nice to meet both of you. N.B.'s mom, I saw Lisa take a picture of Brittany, she looked very good in her uniform!! Lisa, sorry if I seemed a bit unsociable, I was a bit drawn up in to the fact that Devon had to eat and RUN! We were able to go with her to her flight gate... I cant even remember what airlines she flew but there were 3 of us, and we were there until she boarded the plane at 9 PM. In fact their flight was delayed 2 hours, so we actually got 2 more hours with them! I was thrilled. I have talked to her daily and gotten many text's. Doesnt sound like her Ordinance classes will start anytime soon :>(. She is a bit disgruntled over that, but understanding.
I hope you all had a good weekend with your sailor. I really enjoyed the short time we had with Devon. Our 200.00 + food and drink bill at the Airport after sitting there for 6 hours was worth every penny!

Thank you. I told you I'd get it done when I got back in the office today. Joel here in Dallas makes the shirts, so he was super nice giving me what's on them.
Did ya'll meet alot of the other moms from our divison? How was the meet and greet? Are they going to join us on our adventures?

Brittany is pretty happy today. We get to talk constantly on Facebook and she calls every afternoon. She was glad to meet everyones parents.

Annette, I am so sorry to hear that abuot United. I am not sure what happened there -for Andrew flew United and I got to go back with him. I also know that another sailor was able to have her family of three go back with her and she flew United as well. When did you go to the airport. There was a bunch of us in line with the sailors and United let us all go back. How unfortunate!!!! I agree shame on United.

I am so sorry. The USO here was very apologetic about not telling Brittany we could come back with her thru them. I'm sorry they didn't help you out. I've never known them to be like that. But true, I won't ever fly United either. I can understand where you are coming from. I am so sorry you had to go thru that. I guess the USO differs in the way they handle things from city to city.

We asked the USO and they said we had to go to the airline. So they didn't help us. But I won't fly united ever!

That was the same thing here when Brittany left. She was flying out to Great Lkaes on United for boot camp. United wouldn't let us go back, but other airline let parents go back with them. I found out later on that the USO would have gotten us back. i was so upset that day. i was losing my baby girl for 9 weeks and couldn't see her past the front of security..... Yes shame on them.

Just wanted to let you know that we went to the airport with Aaron that day. We thought we would get to go back with him and stay until his flight left. We were suppose to get a pass to go through security, but United wouldn't do it. They said only one person could go with him. After talking to some other parents there, they were able to go back with their Sailor!!! They had a different airline. Shame on you United, I will tell everyone about this!!! We were disappointed that we could not spend that extra time with him. I hope no one else had any problems!
