I was looking at our pictures of the Arizona Memorial when we went to Pearl Harbor this past summer. It puts a lump in my throat, you really have to be there to imagine it, I never really appreciated it until we were actually a the site.
Becky, I guess I haven't been on in awhile, my Army son finished his 2nd deployment to Iraq this past September. He is back in Alaska, but will be home right after Christmas, around the 29th, still not sure yet, depends on when the Army actually issues his orders. This will be he first time we will have seen him since he got back. He'll be in Ft. Meade,MD for a few months then Ft. Knox, KY, so he should be out of harms way for the immediate future.
By the way, is there any way we can change our group to LS instead of SK? It doesn't seem that Cindy is still on this site.

No Donna mine is not coming home until March. :( hopefully that is. Heather did your sister have her PIR yet?? Lynda has your Army son heard anything if he will be going to the sandbox? I don't think you told us where he is at now.

Thanks Becky... He will be home Dec 23rd .. he is taking the red eye out on the 22nd.. Can't wait to see him.. Is your son coming home??

Hi Lisa... My son is on the Abraham Lincoln.. Bryan is now a Petty Officer.. he is happy.. he passed the last test but there wasn;t enough openings for him to move up. it is sad but guess that is life but he moved up this time..
Becky where did you find that shirt that said It's a Navy mom thing?? I would love one..

Hope all you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I have been shopping on line and just saw this shirt that said "Its a Navy Mom thing you wouldn't understand" I love that and now know what I want for Christmas... :) Its so true if your not a Navy Mom you just don't get it, unless in Goddess' case she is the Navy. Thank you for serving our country.
