Majicmom:
The rate = the "job" title
Believe me, this is all new to me too but learning everyday! My son's rate is MN also known as Mineman for us meer mortals. :-)

And to the rest...try and join us on the 27th. Antonella has been so brave to take on trying to set something up for us,,,,and we all have busy schedules so it's not easy.

Again my offer stands: If anyone is riding Trirail I would be happy to you up at the Mangonia station and then return you there. Or how about carpooling up from Dade or Broward?

You ladies down south can start planning the next one down your way and I will try and hit it too!

For the new ladies: My son is now aboard the Patriot and this is his first week onboard and loving it. I am keeping in touch via Facebook and Skype. How cool!!! So far he is so happy making friends with his shipmates and tells me everyone is so nice and helpful. The work is hard but he says the time passes quickly because the guys are so funny and really help him fit in and learn his way. It is true, this is one large family!

Anyway, time for this old lady to hit the sack...leaving for Chicago this Sunday for a design conference (Neocon) and I will probably be too busy to check back for a few days........

Angela's Mom here, She is in Jacksonville finishing up C school. in 1 1/2 she will be going to Keywest for 2 years. I got to go visit her last week end and she seems to be doing really good. Her friend is going to Va. but she knows a few that have already went to keywest. Anyone from keywest or close?
Our other daughter Alee is signing up in the next week or 2 after graduation. Boy I'am going to have to lean on all the navymoms (which is a great site).

Hi all, My name is Sarah. I am moving to Fort Lauderdale in the begining of June for culinary school. My boyfriend is training to be a pilot. He is currently in Corpus Christi in primary. He will probably be there until next August, if all goes according to plan. He is hoping to fly P3s so then he will be in Jacksonville. Its always nice talking to people who are in similar situations.

I will check out the calendar....I am not sure about the 27th, it's my nephew's birthday party. Congrats to your son, where is he now? I have no idea what a "rate"--help--I am new to this.

Hi! I am happy I found this group! I live in Davie, my son's PIR was last Friday and now he is attending AZ school in Meridian. I hope to meet you all soon!

Circle the date: June 27th is our next Meet and Greet which Antonella has been awesome to coordinate.
Check events calendar on the right side of the screen or simply go up to the top and hit events...search for ours and you will have all the info.
My son was in Deps and also went to boot camp in August, last year!

What rate does your son have? You can probably find a group that has info on that field...

ANyway, hope we can meet on the 27th.
