Lindsey the ombudsman is the go between for the crews family and the Commander. When they are underway she is available to answer questions you may have. The FRG is helpful as well. You can request to be on the list to receive news letters that are emailed out monthly from the FRG and her. Hope this helps.

Hi abdill778.. I WAS looking for an officer's wife, but that doesn't mean I'm opposed to meeting any other USS NH wives! It's nice to meet you, my boyfriend is on the USS NH too and was just looking for people to relate to, that's all. How long has your husband been in the Navy? I see that you have daughters, you seem to have a beautiful family. Is your husband going underway soon with my Julian?

That's great that you get to babysit Dylan while your daughter is in the play Oliver.
I babysit my granddaughter Lauren on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Except for this week I caught her cold last week plus a few co workers who chose not to stay home so was not up to babysitting and I didn't want to pass it back to her.
I am sure Amanda, the girls and Stephan are busy. Ryan will be starting his networking classes on the 26th. I called him this past weekend and is he doing ok, can't wait to start classes. Have a good day

Thanks for your input Jeanne.. I'm quite aware of the term NUB by now! haha Julian has been working on his boat since I think July, so I've heard all about it. He actually has met a lot of good guys though, he calls home and tells me about them a lot. It makes me feel a little better to hear about the good people he'll be underway with soon. You're right about keeping busy, that's for sure. Everyone has told me that since day one, and even while he's on base I find that the time before I get to see him again goes faster when I'm working or keeping busy. I'm between jobs right now and so it has been extra hard for me lately. You aren't the first person to recommend contacting the Ombudsman but to be quite honest, I'm not 100% sure of what that is. Thank you for offering to be there to answer questions. Now since Julian and I are not married, when the sub Homecoming actually does finally approach, will I be able to get onto the base to watch him come in and be waiting with signs and all of that fun stuff that I see in people's pictures? I want that so badly but am afraid I won't be able to.

And by the way! I just got a call from Julian while he was on his break and he told me that an officer of his pulled him aside today and asked him about me.. said that someone told him about talking to me on N4M and I've been trying to figure out who it was! The officer was telling Julian about having a wife that seemed to be a lot like myself, so does anyone here have a husband who is an officer on the USS New Hampshire?
