God is so Good! He answered my prayer, because Jason called today! Thank you Lord Jesus!

Congratulations to NICK and his proud mom, Tracy. Top of his Class....HOORAH!

Janie, I really do wish you could meet us in GC. Our Julie went to the doctor today, she has the FLU (just the regular flu though, NOT the H1N1). She will have to stay home this trip. Very disappointing development.
Thank you for praying for Trina and DeeDee. This is so difficult for their whole family.

Jason has not had cell phone service this week. He had to call from the parking lot last weekend. Bummer. We have some questions we need to ask about things he wants us to bring this weekend. He has not answered calls, text messages, or email. Sigh..... another request Lord, please let him call tomorrow.

Hope all of you wonderful ladies have a blessed weekend.
Love ya, Charlotte

Charlotte and Tracy,
WOW! Life continues to go on at a pace doesn't it? Congrats to you Tracy and please thank your son for his awesome performance and success. We are so happy for you all. The part about being gone for so long must be a difficult thing to wrap your mind and heart around. We will keep you in prayer. I agree that finding out as much info as you can will help you deal with the challenge and make it a little easier to handle. When we have info to fill in the gaps, it sure helps with our questions. Jesus will comfort your heart and make a way!
Charlotte, you lucky one getting to watch such a young precious one. What a thrill. Your neighbor has a real load on her plate. She definitely needs prayer and us girls are good prayer warriors. Please let her know we are indeed praying. You get to go to GC again? No fair!!! No really, I am truly happy for you but wished I was joining you. Be safe and enjoy! Janie

Hi everyone - wheeeww - took me a while to read back through everything. Again I said I would not be awol for long but I didn it again!! Sometimes when I get on this site, my computer slows way down and freezes. Not sure what that is all about but it is frustrating. I am so glad to hear about everyone. Jules - you are one lucky mom!! I am so happy for all of you that get to visit with your sailors!!

Nick graduated today!! I am so proud of him - he graduated top of his class!! He is choosing to go to Spain. I am excited for him but so sad that he will be gone for 2 - 3 YEARS!! I am trying to find out information on that base but not finding too much. Emotional roller coaster continues. . .

You are still all in my prayers. Hope you have a great day!! Love to hear from you. Talk soon!!
Love
Tracy

WOW Ladies,
So much in such a short time. I am so glad for all of you for the answers to prayers, the time spent with your sons, children being baptized, and even for the grace of being in attendance for the sad occasion of a funeral.
We have had two recent deaths to impact us this past week. One of our former foster daughters, Tanya, lost her birth mother. Tanya is still in foster care, but will turn 18 later this month. She had not seen her mother in the past two years. Very sad situation.
The other was a dear deacon at our church who after getting dizzy at church two weeks ago, found that he had an inoperable brain tumor. His family felt blessed to have had the last two weeks with him.

This is my prayer request : My next door neighbor, Trina, is caring for her sister who is dying of cancer and her blind mother who fell and broke both an arm and a foot. This is in addition to her diabetic son and her extremely active five year old daughter. Please keep Trina in your prayers. Her sister, DEE DEE, cannot last much longer and they are not only sisters, but truly best friends as well.

I am babysitting an absolutely adorable four-week-old little boy. This is truly the second best job I have ever had....the first was being a mom to my own dear children.

I am looking forward to our trip to Goose Creek this weekend and seeing my "babies" who are 20 and 23. LOL

Have a blessed week ya'll.

Jules,
you are so lucky getting to have all your kids there at once!! I'm jealous (in a good way of course)! I will remember to keep you family in prayer during this ordeal. I just knew that God would work out all the details so Josh could be home.
Raising kids and having them leave home and be responsible is great but it still hurts our hearts, huh?
So happy for your family to be all together. Cherish every moment, sweet one.
Good night, Janie

Oh Janie... so happy for your time with Grady! Sounds like a BEAUTIFUL weekend with the baptisms and all, how awesome that Grady was home to share in that! Congratulations my friend!!! OH boy and that darn random crying..... it sure does sneak up on us doesn't it????? Sheesh.... I was so excited yesterday.... and so busy getting the house picked up and making sure dinner was ready on time.... that I really didn't have time to THINK about "seeing" my boys.... so when they showed up.... I went running outside... and it was "instant" tears..... no control over it what so ever! What is THAT all about????? Sheesh.... and of course I start hugging and don't wanna let go!!!! ;o) I'm the "hugging hog", LOL... that's what my younger kids call me....Well... I can't explain it.... but when we set our eyes on them.... there is just SO much PRIDE and LOVE that comes pouring out of our hearts.... along with the tears.... that when you latch on to hug them..... you gotta give it a minute.... right ladies?????

Anyhow... so last night was VERY AWESOME... My oldest son Jason picked Josh up for me from Akron Airport... and we had a REAL sit down family meal with the ENTIRE family with all their favorites!!!! My heart is STILL smiling... and I feel so blessed to have had the few hours I did with all four of my children. I'm so darn proud of both Jason and Josh.... but boy I sure wasn't prepared for how much having them grow up and bein on their own would tug at my heart strings!

Josh's command was most awesome and they gave him 3 days leave (plus his normal 2 days off ) w/o it taking away from his holiday leave... so he will still get to come home between Christmas and New Years.

He loves his security job.... absolutely LOVES it.....he was telling a story last night about how he is in charge of the shipmates that "get in trouble" such as underaged drinking etc.... and he gets to "work them".... make them march... and said it's alot like being a drill sgt..... haha.... so he was telling us some of the one liners he's zinged their way.... too funny.... "I'm like WHERE do you come up with these things??? Is this what your drill sgts said to you in BC??" and he said "Nope.... for some reason... it just comes natural".

Anyhow..... this visit is bittersweet..... I'm SO glad to see him and will enjoy every second.... but Thursday will be sad (day of the funeral).... and then Saturday morning will be rough when he leaves... his flight leaves at 5:30 am... and he has to report to work around 11:30 am.... so I'm praying for safe swift travel w/o delays!

Tina... that's for sharing your story too..... God is amazing in how he answers our prayers.... It just goes to show you that God knows our needs and know when to show his GREAT sense of humor ;o)

To the rest of you ladies.... Miss you.... hope you all are doing well....Blessings to all!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day my friends! Jules

Keep in touch. Janie

Janie- At least we know where they are when they are on hold! Maybe Grady will be in the mail room and they will get there mail in a timely manner for the next 2 months. That would beat cleaning baseboards.

Dear Tina,
What a good story. God is faithful to help us moment by moment, even using a scam to brighten our day and hopefully make us a little more wiser for the future. I understand that there are so many sailors that things get backed up but why did it have to happen to mine...right? Grady is just waiting for power school...I wonder if he'll have the same wait for prototype? Guy is already in power school? Correct? Grady hopes for late November, but with what you are sharing, that will be a short wait!! I can only assume that our Lord knows exactly what He is doing and He never makes a single mistake and unlike us, He never falls for a scam. Isn't it marvelous that we have the awesome privilege of trusting our very lives to His perfect care and plan? We are truly blessed. Always a joy to hear from you, Tina, do keep in touch. Love you all, Janie
