Hello Momma G!! I'm new at this but.. I'm also from the Houston Area. I'm 5 minutes from Down Town Houston.
My daughter Ashley is in Florida for training she is an AO (Aviation Ordinanceman) I have alot to learn about being a Navy Mom!!
Hope to be able to meet with the Navy Moms one day to hear all the wonderful stories about their loved ones!!

I live in San Antonio but my son and daughter-in-law soon to be granddaughter live in Houston off 45 going towards Galveston. I will be there on Friday to see my brand new baby granddaughter!!!! I CAN NOT WAIT TO MEET HER!!!!!! Will post the pics as soon as I get them!

Not exactly, but close enough. We're to the west out in the country. It takes us as long to get to Bush to pick up Matt as it does to go to the Medical Center (and thankfully we don't have to make any of those trips now). It's neat to see how many of us are really so close together! My son did the DEP so we could all adjust. He's my oldest, and just turned 23 on Jan 22. Then I have a 13 yrs old son, and a 10 yr old daughter. Their dad works in Katy, and we go shopping in SL at times, so the world just got a whole lot smaller even if our kids are spread out in it even farther. by the way -- Hello!

I live in Deer Park -- SE side of Houston, between Pasadena & Baytown. I also have a new grandbaby - a grandson born on Jan 5th. The baby is my daughter's. My son is my sailor, and is stationed in Oceana, VA (in Virginia Beach). It's a small world -- so many of us living near Houston, and so many of us with new grandchildren. This is GREAT !!!!

Hi all. I'm in Sugar Land. My son just left yesterday for Great Lakes. Mixed emotions going on here. I'm proud of him more than anything but worried about him too. He's my 1st born so separation anxiety will set in soon. I may be writing quite a bit in the beginning until I get my bearings.
