Adam left Monday to go back to GC, after 10 days home...sigh.... it was great and he loves the navy! He is thinking about sta-21 and making it a career. Isn't it great to see our sailors happy and "standing proud"?

Gina: Sorry I just read your post to me. I haven't signed on in a while. Ryan is an ET. He had Indoc, then SCC, then ATT..Now he is waiting for his A school. His A school is about 33 weeks then he will have C school. We won't know where the C school will be until towards the end of A school. I think he is taking up residency in GL...hahaha. Looks like he won't be out of there until next summer the way things are going. He has had long holds between each school. Oh well, he gets paid the same whether he is in school or not. I hope it doesn't delay his advancement. He was supposed to become a petty officers upon graduation from A school. Well, heck at this rate, he will be eligable for E-4 before he even gets to A school. (a bit of an exaggeration but not much)

Paul is still at Pensacola, finally did start A school about 3 weeks ago..
He is ready to be through with Pensacola and is wanting to join his Marine brother in Hawaii...Hopefully the Navy will accomodate if possible.
Congrats to all the new Petty Officers thats great. Paul cannot get his until he has finished A school and that will be in December. Even though technically like the others he could have it, so depressing for him.

Congrats to Chris! And to the new Petty Officers. How wonderful! I have heard that Pearl is also becoming a hard station to get, especially married sailors. They don't have the on base housing for them and off base is way too expensive. It is a bummer, but there are plenty of other places.

wow! Congrats to Christopher on his newest accomplishment....I know he is going to have many....as all of our sailors are. I don't think it is as hot there as it has been in FL. With all of our storms this week, the temp has finall dropped from 98-103 down to 90-92!y

Hi there, Christopher graduated from Corpsman Dental C-School on Wed and flew out to Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA for FMTB-FMF. He starts Oct 13, and he was supposed to go to Okinawa afterwards, however that has been changed to staying at CP. He doesn't know what's happening but many Sailors' orders have been changed as well. So once he got there Thurs he found out that many of his friends that graduated A-School and didn't have a C-School were there in FMTB right now. So he's happy to be back with his buddies. But he says it's really hot there. (It could be just 80 degrees there and it would be hot after the weather GL has had.) Hard to believe he's been in close to 9 months already.

Ronnette and I are bursting with pride. Zach graduated A school last weekend (Adam the week before) and they are now Petty Officers!
Yana Comment by Yana on August 10, 2009 at 9:06pm
Hi to all. Zachary graduated from CM school (Construction Mechanic) on July 21st. Home for 2 weeks and he left yesterday for Gulfport, MS where he will be stationed. He is in the 25th Seabee Construction Battalion. Won several awards while in Port Hueneme. Very proud. Have enjoyed reading about all of our sailors. Many blessings to you all.
